i think Kin during winter fits his room so its extra cozy for his chickens an himself sense he would feel bad them being in the snow.
much of the wool things Kin got came from either his pops (lilia) or Kalim his sugar vampire that loves to spoil his woodsmen who lives in the middle of nowhere.
Kalim got Kin a full wool coat an pants before Silver could scold him of spoiling Kin to much he brings up a very soilid point.
Kalim:"so he doesn't own any wool"
Silver:"that doesn't mean you should buy everything for him"
Kalim: "Silver that means he has never had wool for any winter!!"
Silver: turns his attention to Kin "what have you done for previous winters!!??"
Kin:"uh gather a bunch of food an firewood an hunker down till winter ends, an if i needed to go out i would run to the thing a need an return though any time i did that sometimes my body would get all hot an ach an i would have to lay down for a while"

Kin also let Jade an Floyd stay with him over winter an by extension also Silver because he does not trust Jade or Floyd. Kin is happy he has people to hang out with like he has always wanted friends an now he has a bunch of them.
Matilda an Malleus use there magic so that floating green flames are orbiting Lilith an keeping her warm. this also has the side effect of it looking like little green wisps making Lilith look like a ghost.
but knowing Matilda an Malleus this was probably intentional an Lilith thinks its super neat it helps her see in the dark thus easier to explore things as she accidently scares the locals as she does so.
Vil made Lilith a coat on the condition that the devils let Lilith learn some common knowledge things along with Ortho. even though she is being raised by the actual devil Vil thinks that Lilith should at least know how things like money an linguistics work. (he might also sneak in dance lessons)
also when Lilith is around it motivates Ortho to study more which makes him happy. this also means that until the coat is done that the devils are lurking outside his house till then.
