Ichariba Chode is an Okinawan Japanese saying that means “through we meet but once, even by chance, we are friends for life.” The phrase was also said by Wataru Urazoe, Takato’s grandfather, when Takato visited Okinawa in the movie Digimon Tamers: Battle of The Adventurer. The phrase, I believe, is a perfect description of the relationship between the humans and their respective Digimon partner in general. For Tamers and some other Digimon universes, it is unfortunate that they could only be together for a short time, but forever they will be friends. And of course, our hope is no less bigger than theirs: for someday, they can be with each other again.
