"Right, yeah." A puzzle piece clicks into place in Sam's head, but he stays quiet and keeps stitching up Dean's arm. Deep breaths, Sam. "Just… just so you know, if you ever wanted to talk to me about something, you can. And I would support you. You know you can tell me anything, yeah?"
"Sam, I don't want to talk about the hunt right now," Dean groans. "He got the jump on me. It's fine."
"That's — that's not what I meant," Sam mutters, unsure of how to professionally ask Dean Hey, how do you feel about dudes?

It starts off innocent enough. Sam is up early doing some research into a suspicious death in Kentucky when Castiel walks by him, wearing a Led Zeppelin tee that's just too big on him. Sam smiles at Cas as he heads to the kitchen, presumably to make the morning pot of coffee for the bunker.
It's not until an hour later, when Dean wakes up, that Sam realizes that that's not Cas' shirt, and he can't come up with a good explanation why he's wearing it.
"Mornin', Sam," Dean yawns as he shuffles past.
"Hey. Cas put coffee on. Um… what's up with him wearing your shirt, by the way?" Sam asks. Might as well come right out and say it.
"He asked to borrow it," Dean shrugs. "Did you wash my mug?"
"Yeah, it should be drying."
"Alright," Sam mutters, having gained no information from the exchange. "So get this — I think I found us a case in Kentucky. Town called Danville. There were three murders in the last two months. All found on the side of the road, bite marks on their neck. Locals ruled it an animal attack, but —"
"Okay. Let me get dressed and we can go."
Sam nods, and Dean heads back to his bedroom, now with a full mug of coffee.
