-Regression is more about making new memories for him.

-His accent (?) gets THICK when he’s small; he slurs his words a lot.

-He doesn’t talk a lot anyway, since the Black and White is scary when he’s so young.

-He hides his involuntary regression from the Lords in Black.

-He keeps a Wiggly doll for when he gets lonely. Though he tried to take the ‘voice box’ out with no success.

-He throws a lot of tantrums fueled by a lack of memories and a want for comfort (that’s part of the reason he doesn’t let the Lords find out - they won’t like that.)

-Miss Holloway has cared for him at least once in a maximum of two timelines. They don’t talk about those.

-He prefers Wilby as a nickname. Wiley makes him think too much of the present.

-Unbeknownst to him, the Lords (especially Blinky) know about his regression. They just leave him alone because it’s amusing.

-In some timelines, one of the Lords - mainly Wiggly - ends up being a (not very good) caregiver. Either because they’re curious or because Wilbur had no choice.

So as many of you have probably already heard, Jazwares, the company that produces Squishmallows, is donating to charities that support Israeli soldiers and the IDF. They’re also supporting Canary Mission, which has been doxxing people who speak out against Israel. BDS hasn’t called for a boycott against them, but I can’t in good faith spend my money on their products, and I would strongly encourage everyone who enjoys plushies to really think long and hard about if you want to give your money to a company that’s helping support genocide!

But the holidays are coming up, and lots of us enjoy plushies and were fans of Squishmallow, and were planning to give Squishmallows to friends and family this year.

Fortunately, there are a number of great plushie companies out there, and I want to promote some of my favorites in the hopes that folks will get their plushie fix from a source that doesn’t side with Israel. So without further ado:

Fluffnest

Fluffnest got their start on Kickstarter a few years ago, and I adore the round shapes of their PuffPal plushies! My favorite is Pete the Possum, which is probably the best possum plush I’ve ever seen. I’ve also got a beautiful moth from their Kickstarter and I’ve been wanting their bats for ages. They also recently had a Kickstarter for an Animal Crossing-esque video game featuring their plushie characters and it looks fantastic.

Squishables

I can’t get over the plague doctor plushies. They’re so perfect and cute, and they’ve released other variations of them called Alter Egos, like a ghostly version, an alien, or a really sweet cottagecore one! They’ve got a ton of variety, but what I like the most are the fantasy plushies. There’s a lich! There are dragons and demons! Cryptids! Biblically accurate angels! A lot of really fun stuff!

Also they do a lot of great charity work! Right now they’re doing an auction for the Food Bank of New York City.

AfternoonFika

AfternoonFika is a very small business of only three people, but their plushies are extremely cute. They tend to sell out fast, so I recommend following them on social media to stay on top of any restocks! They recently released a line of dinosaurs that are precious, and of course I love their iconic cactus cat and cinnamon bun bunny.

Jellycat

Jellycat has been around since 1999, so they’re the oldest of these companies. They’ve got great designs, a ton of variety, and a lot of their plushies are made to be cuddled on and not just displayed. All three of my tiny nephews sleep with a different stuffed dog from Jellycat. My mom has a sun and several succulents that she uses as decorations. There’s a little something for everyone who enjoys plushies!

Littlesofts started in late 2021 so a lot of their plush are in the preorder stage (the ones above were JUST announced a few days ago and I think is their biggest launch so far) I've been extremely happy with my ultra-snuggly trans raccoon !!! (preordered in june and received in october and can be ordered now)

There's a ton of knock off squishmallows, but that'll potentially help with online shopping or making your own

As for promo, I commissioned a custom plush from Nightengale Needle a few years ago, they have ready made stuff, they're not mochi but they're great to work with and the team there could really use the support

Slime Story has currently 12 plushies, but 3 new ones are releasing in 3 days! These plushies are nature themed - 6 forest, 6 ocean, and the new ones are wetlands.

These little guys are the cutest little things you'll ever see, and they have a lot of personality.

Just look at them!!

Each ecosystem set donates money to a different charity with every order. The forest set donates to One Tree Planted, and the ocean set to Kuleana Coral Restoration! The wetlands set will definitely have its own announced when it's released. :)

The forest ones (4.5 to 6 inch. tall) are smaller than the ocean ones (although I can't find a measurement on the site). From a little test I did just now, I can proclaim them all to be very squishy, except for Horseshoe Crab. I couldn't find anything on the website about what materials are used, but the tags on the slimes say 100% polyester.

Unfortunately, the massive Whaleshark is not and hasn't been restocked since it was released and bought up extremely quickly back in last year, November. But that is the only case I can remember where a slime was eventually restocked, and the others have never sold in just a week or two like that. Generally, you can wait a month or two before new ones are sold out.

As for shipping time, the ocean set was released around the same time as the new wetlands one was last year. My older sister bought one of the ocean ones for me the second they were released - but like the wetlands set, it was pre-order. The slime arrived only a few days after Christmas, so I wouldn't be too worried about that if you're in the market for gifts. When they're not pre-orders, they usually show up in 2-3 weeks.

these guys feel similar to squishmallows, with the soft fabric and heavy stuffing, and being pillow shaped. i got a big one of the pink cat a few years back and it was strawberry scented (that did not last for a long time though). they have a few characters and a bunch of variations on each, with a lot of them food themed

i found sorbet jungle a few years ago with the croconana (crocodile banana) which now comes in a bunch of variations (right now theres still some halloween ones up). now, they still make the croconana, but have a variety of soft, unique plushies

(◜◡◝ ) ; acts like he doesn't care but he does and it shows by his actions. He doesn't like being labeled as protective or cautious but his actions give it out. Either that being holding your hand when out in public or yelling at someone for making you sad/frustrated/etc.

(◜◡◝ ) ; he naps alot. And what's better than napping? Napping WITH his little one. That's pretty much 60% of his schedule

(◜◡◝ ) ; a strict caregiver. Be in bed at a certain time, gives a short list of things to do around the ship and encourages you to socialize. Of course besides the bedtime schedule he doesn't really force you to do anything you don't want to do. Because let's be honest, he doesn't socialize either.

(◜◡◝ ) ; he says he doesn't care, but then you end up in his arms literally like 98% of the time. He follows you around like a puppy and refuses to leave your side

(◜◡◝ ) ; paranoid when you have to be babysat by anyone that isn't him. He gets irritated and more anxious whenever it's Luffy of all people. Luffy isn't a bad babysitter don't get me wrong. Buuut.. Luffy isn't that responsible. That's mainly why hates the idea of Luffy being your babysitter
