I always forget Luke is left-handed.

Yeah, whenever he eats, drinks, interacts with people and objects, it’s always with his left (probably because Mark Hamill is left-handed.) He shoots with both hands and is trained to use the lightsaber with his right. Anyways, it’s just cool trivia for a loner leftie like me.

HOLY CRAP. I always wondered why Luke tends to hold the lightsaber at the very bottom with his right hand, when he holds it one handed. For a right handed person, that’s super awkward, but for a lefty it makes sense.

lbr he would have beat Vader in ESB if he wasn’t trained to hold himself back.

tbh it never made sense that Luke had to learn to use a lightsaber right handed.

Maybe it was just easier for Obi-Wan that way, fff, he had so little time.

Maybe Obi-Wan knew the tendency of Skywalkers towards limb loss, and wanted to diminish the likelihood that Luke would lose his dominant hand

Not being able to understand all the languages of the world fucks me up. There's so much art by people and while translations are available (sometimes), the contours of the original text will forever be alien to me. Sad.
