Kubyenka recruiting Adder to help Henry with Ransom Quest. It went as chaotic as it could.
Mature rating for safety. Sorry in advance for all grammatical/etc errors. English is not my native language and the story was written under pressure of time.

“How much?”
Henry swallowed loudly.
“You did not ask for the price” it was more of a statement than a question and the uncomfortable pause on Henry’s side told Kubyenka everything he needed to know. In this line of work one did not head into danger for free and Kubyenka for sure did not intend to risk his life for some nobleman he never met if there was no reward. But the boy was too soft, too naive to think like a mercenary should - worrying first about yourself and later about noblemen’s shit.
“Well, I-I will pay you myself” Henry offered and even opened his purse--
The boy was too kind for this word, was all Kubyenka could think. It would be a shame if the lad got himself killed because of that.
Kubyenka was too old for that nonsense.
“No need for that, I will help you”, he said with heavy sigh and Henry’s face beamed like some fucking sun. Once the Devil will learn about that, the bastard won’t let him forget the moment of weakness, Kubyenka was sure. But the word has been spoken and although Kubyenka was no noble himself, he never backed down on his own promises.
“What about Adder?” Henry asked and the shadow of a doubt in his voice was hard to miss. The lad may be frustrated by the barrier language between them - an understandable frustration as Kubyenka once suffered it too - but he had a great assessment of other people’s prowess. Adder was a damn good fighter so no wonder Henry wanted him at his side when the shit hit the fan. And it will, it always did.
“Don’t worry about Adder,” Kubyenka waved his hand, for Adder liked killing more than he liked money. “I will make sure he will go with us.”
The lad breathed a sigh of relief and Kubyenka did not have a heart to tell him that if the Jan of Suchotlesky won’t pay them, Adder may kill the nobleman himself and loot the corpse to make up for their loss. And Kubyenka didn’t plan to stop him.

Finding Adder was easy. Kubyenka simply headed towards the tent from where the loudest female cries of joy were coming from. And indeed, the moment he walked inside, a familiar sight welcomed him: Adder with his head between bathmaid’s legs driving the poor lass to madness with pleasure.
It didn’t matter how many times Kubyenka saw it with his own eyes, it always surprised him the same. Not the pleasure of women, as Adder shared all the good tips with Kubyenka and, in theory at least, he could please a wench like that himself, if given a chance. No, the thing that always surprised Kubyenka was Adder’s dedication to please even a whore. Maybe that was why the girls liked the Pole so much.
“Adder, I need your help,” Kubyenka said after a long pause, too distracted by the happy noises. Adder did not stop whatever he was doing, but he looked at Kubyenka over wench’s leg. His eyes narrowed, curious.
“Henry got himself into trouble,” Kubyenka continued, trying hard to ignore the warmness that spread through his own body. “But there may still be money in that. And killing. A lot of killing, I gather. But we must hurry up.”
Finally Adder broke away from the woman's pussy and wiped face with his hand. There was the sharp grin Kubyenka knew so well.
“Czemu nie mówiłeś tak od razu?”Adder jumped to his feet, grabbed his scattered clothes and started dressing hurriedly.
See, this was what he liked about the Pole. He didn't have to be told twice.
But then Adder stopped in the track and began to speak, too quickly for Kubyenka to understand. Seeing the confusion on Kubyenka's face, Adder growled in frustration. He leaned out of the tent, looked around, growled even louder before he ran who fucking knew where.
Kubyenka shifted from foot to foot, not quite sure what to do with himself. The girl propped herself up on one elbow, her eyes so hungry. It then occurred to Kubyenka that Adder must pay her in advance and the Pole was not happy about losing both money and the chance for fun if the purchased time wasn’t up yet. At first he thought maybe he could explain and negotiate with the girl, but one look at the bathmaid, still dizzy from pleasure, told Kubyenka she definitely wanted more. More and right now.
The tense silence had filled the tent. So tense that Kubyenka kept fidgeting under the hungry gaze of whore.
A few minutes later Adder returned, dragging the screaming Devil behind himself. He practically pushed Hynek inside… who shut up abruptly at the sight of a beautiful and very horny girl.
Adder did lewdy gesture, pointed at Hynek and then put a coin in the girl’s hand. The wench giggled.
Well, that was unexpected. And pragmatic. But above all, totally hilarious, once Kubyenka looked at the red face of speechless Hynek. It was a true shame, there was no time to waste, for Kubyenka would like to see how much the girl will tire out the infamous Dry Devil. Adder always picked up the most insatiable whores.
Oh, the Devil is so gonna be fucked up so good he may not even notice they're gone nor get mad when they come back the next day bloody and penniless. Adder was a hothead prone to violence more often than not, but he was a true pragmatic bastard when the situation called for it.
Good god, Kubyenka loved that Polish madman.
Before Hynek could come back to his senses, they sprinted back to the Devil’s Den to gather their things.

Adder had his needs, and Janosh had his. So when Adder wasted money on whores, Janosh liked to just sit and enjoy the warm meal in peace. Surprisingly, even a crazy place like Devil’s Den could have calm, lazy mornings. Or so Janosh thought.
The innkeeper had just brought Janosh a well-roasted chicken, when Adder - with hair still wet, untied - sprinted past by his table straight into the Den. The Pole did not even stop to greet Janosh. With was fucking rude, but not so unusual to worry about it.
Whatever was happening, sooner or later, Adder for sure will explain to him the situation.
Content with that thought, Janosh inhaled the pleasant scent. But before he managed to bite into the tender meat, Kubyenka ran through the inn’s courtyard.
Janosh frowned. Now, that was weird, for Kubyenka avoided physical exertion whenever he could.
“Take my sword! AND DON’T FORGET THE WINE!” Kubyenka screamed hectically after Adder while he himself sprinted to the stable, probably to saddle his horse.
It crossed Janosh’s mind that Adder had no horse. Hell, none of them besides Kubyenka, Zizka and Henry had a horse. Zizka’s stallion stood unsaddled outside in a nearby clearing, loosely tied up by reins to a wooden fence. And Henry’s… thinking about Henry it occurred to Janosh that like the lad left the inn three days ago, he was still nowhere to see.
Now Janosh was concerned. And so was apparently Zizka, who leaned his head out the window to see what the ruckus was about.
“What the hell is going on?” Jan asked, when Kubyenka showed up on horseback and Adder, already dressed in armor, sprinted from the inn.
Both men ignored him.
All Janosh could do was to observe how Adder gave Kubyenka a sword and once the man secured the weapon at his side, Adder threw at him the jug of alcohol. Then he jumped to Janosh's table, grabbed a chicken leg and bit into the meat like a hungry wolf. He did not eat all of it at once though.
“Jedziemy ujebać jakiś skurwysynów” was all Adder said, before he gritted his teeth on the stolen chicken leg and then sprinted to Zizka’s horse.
“What the fuck is going on?!” Zizka leaned even further out the window. He sounded as worried as irritated.
“Adder say they go kill some bastards,” Janosh answered, shrugging. There were plenty of bastards Adder could mean. Janosh doubted the Pole himself knew or cared who. Did it ever matter? Not for him. Though he hoped Kubyenka and Adder were organizing some big, daring rescue mission for Henry, because otherwise Zizka may rip their balls off.
Janosh did not take his eyes off Adder for even a moment. He frowned, seeing how Adder untied the reins of Zizka’s horse and then heavily sighed, when the crazy Pole simply jumped on the unsaddled horseback and galloped ahead of himself like it was fucking nothing.
“THAT’S MY HORSE!” Janosh did not have time even to blink and Zizka was already out of the inn, all fired up and angry. “THAT POLISH BASTARD STOLE MY HORSE!”
Even from his place, Janosh could hear Adder’s maniacal laugh, followed by Kubyenka’s.
Zizka cursed loudly, but before he really could do anything else, Hynek came running to Jan, holding tight on his untied breeches. His face was red, eyes feverish, he smelled of desperation.
“GIMME A COIN” Hynek did not wait for Zizka’s answer. His hands were already rummaging through the man’s purse.
“What the hell, Devil?! For what?"
“Doesn’t matter!” Devil growled in frustration. “GIMME, GIMME, GIMME!”
Janosh silently observed how Zizka pushed away the pressing hands, rummaged in his purse and finally gave some groschen to Hynek. Smiling, Dry Devil sprinted back straight into the bathhouse. What, in all fairness, was the most out of the place thing that happened so far.
Adder and Kubyenka will have a lot to explain with that alone.
Surprisingly, even a crazy place like Devil’s Den could have calm, lazy mornings. But today was not one of them. At least, the well-roasted chicken tasted good.

Translation:
Czemu nie mówiłeś tak od razu? -> Why didn't you say so right away?
The travel of a captured Devil who is accompanied by ghosts of his comrades. Maybe angsty AU, maybe just beaten up Hynek who woke up alone with fever and delirious enough to imagine Adder and Kubyenka; the two last members of Devil's Pack Hynek saw before losing consciousness and who are blaming him now for their cruel death . Because guilt-ridden and not coping well with death Hynek is so fun to torment 😈
