Myra Hastings was a high ranking, although violent and cruel, officer in her field in the same field as Seras. She went to Cheddar a week before the Incident for patrol work and fell in love with the Vicar there. He eventually turned her, and while she was away, he was caught and started murdering her former squadron. She eventually came back to witness a man she'd come to know as Alucard, gunning down her lover and (supposedly) kidnapping one of her former policemates, Seras.

After grieving over the loss of her partner, she began to despised the red cloaked figure, and started hiding away from the world in paranoia of his return to Cheddar village. In the condemned church where no one did sermons or anything anymore, after that Incident, she mourned what had become of her life, and her partner's death. Paranoia,anger, and grief ate away at her, as she would often hear the voice of her lover talk to her in her dreams, and sometimes in her waking hours.

Myra had lost everything, and was terrified to one day be killed by Alucard, so naturally taking care of herself became harder and harder. She tried to scavenge for blood during the night time, but lost her confidence when it came to hygiene or other needs. The only times she ever spoke to anyone was when she became convinced the ghost of her dead lover came back to talk to her. Sometimes, "his" voice tells her to seek out Alucard, to avenge what happened.
