yeonjun – he is first because he likely already dated or had serious feelings for a fan which lead to his heartbreaking. that’s a personal issue though so I am not gonna touch much on it, but it does seem like he is very pure hearted when it comes to love so he ends up getting hurt more easily. it’s my first time seeing this, so to me this is something very interesting! to yeonjun such things don’t seem to matter. status, where somebody is from, their income, quirks they have.. he is none judgmental and accepting, and something that comes through strongly is that he might even really love quirks and be pretty fond of them. if he is in love, it will just make him adore the person more. of course he has standards, there are things that matter to him, but he is someone that seems sincere and emotional when it comes to matters of the heart. if he loves someone he loves someone, to him it wouldn’t matter that it’s a fan, matter of fact he would find it cute. not in an infantilising way at all, but their support would mean so much to him, he would find it incredibly heartwarming and sweet. ‘I am here because of you, thank you’.. he is an incredibly grateful person and would feel very touched to have a genuine romance with a fan because he would be aware they both feel for each other deeply. it’s like.. his energy seems to be hurt but he doesn’t seem to be projecting that into any of his future relationships because he knows it’s a different person, different story, different experience. so he wouldn’t think of anybody else in any of his future relationships. he is still very innocent minded when it comes to love, very rational people might even call him naive. he doesn’t seem to be though, but he has a standard for himself to not compare people together or make them feel like they are worth less than someone. he wouldn’t want a person he loves to live in the shadow of his own hurt and pain, so he tries to heal himself and move on from things in a healthy manner. he seems to be very sweet and cute, he truly doesn’t seem to mind dating a fan. the only thing he would potentially be worried about their safety and not being able to protect them easily… which unfortunately leads to him being more prone to being used and hurt. he seems to have an underlying worry about it, but he seems to be the kind that decides to trust his love unconditionally. he seems like a really sweet boy! there isn’t much more that’s coming through, but his energy is very open regarding this topic.

soobin – soobin seems very open to it!!! he likely never dated a fan before, nor seriously had a crush on one but if he were to genuinely fall for a fan he would likely accept it a lot, it would just scare him a little bit! it would get his heart racing quite a ton, and make him feel the weight of things a lot. of all the things it could and can come with. soobin seems to be the kind of person who takes love incredibly seriously so for him this wouldn’t be a little thing at all. he would have quite a serious behaviour towards it, he would look at it as a responsibility he should not take for granted. he would of course be his usual self, both very playful and romantic. it’s just that if he were to date a fan he would definitely not intend it to be something casual. anyone that’s casual could just betray him, lie anything about him, and just put his career at risk. so if he were to date a fan it would be someone he not only loves unconditionally, but also trusts unconditionally. there also seems to be a really serious protective energy, because if he were to date a fan he would prefer it to be a non celebrity, or at the very least a none idol. which is funny, because the whole reason he seems to be so open is because he is a fanboy himself lmao but he actually has a very good reason!!! I haven’t heard about this before but what came through strongly is that sometimes some idols might pretend to be a fan of xyz when they aren’t at all just to get close to xyz who is also an idol. for networking purposes, just because they want to get laid, or just so that they become more popular so they do it in front of cameras. he might have saw it happen to others as well as it have happened to him.. so he just finds it insincere and quite honestly fake. he doesn’t want to hear a forced laugh when you hear a bad joke, he just wants a real reaction. from his experience his fans are lovely, kind, sincere, honest, and he admires their dedication and admiration to him. not the collections or amount of concerts they attended but their heart stance. sure there are people who do odd things, are disrespectful, or just putting on an act in front of him so he finds them cool but he doesn’t seem to be looking at them as a “real fan”. his idea of a real fan is someone who likes his work, adores him, respects his members and who is sincere in interactions. so he is very open to it, just overcomplicates it and is a bit careful due to safety issues on both sides.

beomgyu – with beomgyu.. it’s a bit confusing because his energy isn’t really closed off about it, but it’s not exactly sincere. he possibly has quite a lot of romantic daydreams about it happening and would love if this and that happened, but when it comes to reality he is a bit.. dissatisfied with it? as if it doesn’t match up to his daydreams. he also probably would expect it to be better than his daydreams, so he gets excited, but then things happen that could annoy him or make him believe it wouldn’t be all that great. he hasn’t necessarily dated a fan before, rather, it’s that some current fans might pull him back to reality sometimes and out of his rose tinted daydreams. he doesn’t seem to be arrogant, the thing here is that he seems to be generalising. he probably gets put off by incredibly fanatic people such as saesangs. so if he were to date someone seriously he would be a bit more cautious incase they end up separated. his energy seems a bit calculating, as if he expects bad outcomes out of things.. ? this seems to be from general trauma he has in life and because he is bit on the more sensitive side. not necessarily only romantic. he doesn’t seem to be a bad person at all, just somebody who likes to be ready. he would still be incredibly loving and generous to his person though. his energy just seems young and scared to be hurt is all, sort of like a teenager.

hyuka – he doesn’t seem to care much to be honest. he maybe once thought about it and went like ‘eh, not for me. it’s for others and that’s ok.’ he doesn’t feel particularly deep about it. he recognises there are fans who would make great partners, and ones who wouldn’t. so he understands both sides, it’s just that he is on neither one. he is pretty neutral, so his opinion might change in the future, but for now it’s not his world. not his style so to say. he isn’t negative about it at all though.. even though beomgyu would date a fan, he seemed more negative about it! hyuka.. just doesn’t care. but like, not in a passive aggressive way. rather in a way that if a member of his would date a fan he would be okay with it, he trusts his members to make the right decision. he seems to prefer to date idols, or at least celebrities. people in his circle so to say. he feels comfortable, safe, and more relaxed making decisions. he has an easier time telling apart people’s personalities if he has something to compare it to in his life, but a whole stranger with a whole new set of habits and quirks might be hard for him to understand or handle; even if they aren’t complicated at all. it is likely he wouldn’t like to date a celebrity if they are a fan either due to not wanting to be viewed through rose tinted glasses. he seems chill, just has a very specific type.

taehyun – he seems to be the least likely simply because he genuinely seems to dislike the idea of dating a fan! to him, it could only come with downsides. firstly, he feels like if he were to date a fan it would limit his freedom.. he feels like it’s something that would stay with him forever, it’s no escaping from it. because what if they suddenly decide to expose it 10 years down the line because ‘enough time’ had passed? he is scared of fans not realising the reality of what that would do to his career. it’s also likely that aside from caring about his career he would worry a lot about being teased.. ? some toxic idols or actors (or just entertainers in general) might look down on people who would seriously consider dating a fan and he seems to care about people’s opinion a lot during this period of his life… it’s like he is scared to be looked down on, so he wouldn’t want to have any sort of relationship with a fan, not even a one night stand. (not sure if he is into that, it’s just something that stood out.) in his eyes it would just end bad no matter what. he is also scared that if he were to date a fan he would be judged and criticised a lot because their vision of him doesn’t match reality. he likes to be viewed in an idealised way, but he is scared that if they were to get closer they wouldn’t like what they see. it’s just that he seems to have a lot of anxiety about the way he is perceived and the way people might treat him. it’s likely due to past negative experiences of being talked to negatively, or behind his back that deeply left a scar on him. tbh rather than love, it’s best for him to focus on healing right now.

Ryo - He is first because he already seems to have a crush on a fan! I don’t believe it to be anything serious but rather a crush that is much sweeter. You know, how when you are a teen in school, you have a hallway crush and think you are in love despite barely interacting with them? Something like that, Ryo just seems to be more mature. As in, more grounded and not all up in the clouds about it despite his feelings being rather real. I think this could be a fan he sees rather often, during fansigns. More often on calls, but they have probably met irl too or will. (As in at events! Not in private.) It seems like his crush developed due to this fan being very sweet, kind, caring, and just being rather pure and calm. I don’t think Ryo is somebody who cares a lot about purity, he isn’t toxic at all! His energy is very warm and gentle, but the cards for him indicate that while he is very open to the idea of dating a fan there are a few things within the fandom that make him rather quite sad and uncomfortable, such as being sexualised. There are idols who really enjoy when hot edits are made about them, he just doesn’t seem to be one of them. (both of these cases are valid!) So when somebody dotes on him, he becomes fond of them. It’s rather due to the feeling of recognition, ‘ah yes, finally somebody similar to me!’. Ryo seems to be the kind of person who appreciates the softness in people. That is what draws him in. He definitely is open, it’s just sometimes he is disappointed by the fandom’s behaviour… Regardless, he seems to have a small crush on a fan! I don’t think he let them know though, he seems to be a bit hesitant to give a compliment even tho he wants to. (He doesn’t want to accidentally say something wrong and make the fan uncomfortable, at least that seems to be the reason.) Though, I would like to mention that he wouldn’t mind hot edits if it was a few, the problem seems to be laying in how it’s the majority of edits, comments and so on. And if it’s not that, it’s fans making fun of him. I think from fan’s perspective it might just be a few jokes, but he does seem to monitor reactions to see what he needs to improve on so when he sees things like that he could feel sad, as if they take him as a joke. In both cases, in his opinion, fans seem to go too far. In both cases he feels as if he is being treated unfairly, as if no one sees the real him. So in this case, he feels very warm and seen when somebody treats him as an equal. Which could be a major factor in his crush towards this person aside from them meeting a few boxes of whatever his ideal type is! Sweet boy just wants to be treated well 💔 I wish I could pick up on more, but his energy is a bit reserved, and a tiny bit shy!

Jaehee - Jaehee is second because he doesn’t seem to have a crush on any fan, but his energy is very welcoming and warm. Quite mature as well! He seems to have a view of WISHzens as ‘human first, fan second’, which is why is energy is very open. Like, yeah! You are just a human too, he is just a human too. In his mind, there is no logical reason as to why falling in love with a fan, dating them, and being committed should be considered controversial. He is aware of societal pressure, misconceptions it could cause, the dangers, and that some of his peers would judge him for it. (There is just some egoistic energy coming from a few idols he occasionally meets due to work, which he seems to have noticed. Jaehee doesn’t seem to hate them, rather just look at them as people who need to grow more in life. These are not members though.) However, he seems to view it as silly. To him, if you really love someone such things shouldn’t matter.. and they don’t! He is a guy who is unapologetically and unconditionally loving. Jaehee seems to be a person who is very accepting, isn’t someone who is naturally judgemental, that is why to him, such things don’t make sense. He has put in the effort to understand, he just can’t relate. Although, it is important to mention that he has never been in a relationship before, so his views on love are more innocent. I am aware he is grown, but that doesn’t take away the fact that innocence can be found in anyone. In this context, what I mean is that his inexperience influences his behaviour, outlook, and optimism towards this topic! Usually, it influences people negatively but when it comes to him it seems to make him more peaceful. He might also daydream a lot about falling for a fan, so he is confident that he could protect his partner in dangerous situations or if a scandal were to happen. It seems a bit idealistic, but quite harmless. He still seems to maintain his realism, it’s just that he has a tendency to be dreamy. It also makes him more doting on fans. Since he immerses himself in daydreams he understands their perspective and has a lot of empathy and understanding towards WISHzens, which could cause him to be more gentle, thoughtful, and considerate. Just not the type of guy that would hurt anyone who puts so much effort into loving him. The only negativity here seems to be his insecurities, and his worries. As for insecurities he seems to ponder a lot whether he is good enough or not, if they will find someone who is better off as an idol or ‘more handsome’. If they will be disappointed, if they will regret, if they will have more chemistry with someone else. He seems to have bit of a self image issues. As for worry, he seems to worry if fans in general are taking care of themselves enough. If they are eating, healthy, and prioritise themselves. While he would want to be unconditionally loved, not to the point of being prioritised above anything else. So he might worry when he sees a fan be a bit extreme, it’s like he doesn’t want to steal away their time or be an idol they regret loving! Either way this energy is very mature and genuine! Definitely somebody who romanticises life a little bit.

Sion - We have come to the one I personally find most interesting!! I find it interesting, because it’s quite complex. He seems to have it as a big ‘no’ in his mind, those are just his personal morals. Don’t get him wrong, he isn’t a bad person. He doesn’t look down on fans, and he isn’t corrupt at heart, it’s rather that he is rather hyper aware. He is aware of all the ways it could go wrong. In the many ways fans could betray him. He seems to be worried about things like his hypothetical partner turning out to be a ssaesang, cheating with another idol, paying a manager to keep tabs on him, or selling his info. He seems to have heard of people’s negative experiences, in the ways they have given a chance to a fan they liked or fell for and it turned out bad, which could make him quite a bit paranoid. Let’s say they match and have a lot of chemistry, he could still have a lot of worries. If the fandom as a whole will find out, how negatively it will impact the relationship, how time spent apart could cause arguments and give his potential partner a time period to cheat on him, and other real and deep worries like this. All his reasons to not date a fan, his worries, seem to stem from a fear of betrayal. Of him being hurt, or his partner ending up being hurt. It also appears that he has control issues, which I don’t believe to be a negative thing. It’s rather that he is scared of things slipping out if his hands, of him not being able to be as protective as he should be, or perhaps not being able to check up on his partner properly due to the dynamics. He could be one of those people who find it romantic to share your location with your partner 24/7. So if distance would be involved due to the dynamics he would likely get anxious he cannot control his free time as he wants; say for example just going to meet his partner or calling to his wishes. (For example, if his call is ignored while he has a 30 minute break he cannot just hop over to his partner’s place or work, which could make him sad.) He has to have some kind of control over his life and romantic relationship because he likes to lead. He doesn’t seem to be a passive guy. Sion’s anxiety doesn’t seem to be from not having ‘enough power’, he seems to find such fragile masculinity stupid lol, rather, like everyone else, he desires to feel safe and stable in a relationship. In this moment in time, he believes a fan x idol relationship isn’t the best example of that. However here is the thing, his worries alone show that he is taking the thought of it seriously. He wouldn’t view it as a game where he can take advantage of someone, where he could achieve a dream, or make a new experience; he view it as a serious relationship, with serious real life baggages, problems, possibilities, and consequences. Deep down he knows the beauties that come with it too. So, he is the type of guy to resist it, say he doesn’t want to, and he would never; but deep down he is curious, he wants to, and he knows that he would. Right now, he is just at a time in his life where he is scared to explore things like that. I am not sure if he has ever been cheated on, but it is certain he had been betrayed by someone he was in love with before, so he would be scared of being used and cheated on just because his hypothetical partner decided they want somebody else more than him. It doesn’t seem to stem from insecurity, just unhealed pain. Ironically, the cards show that he has a soulmate who just so happens to be a fan of his. Please don’t let this impact your mental health or delude you, always make sure to put your peace first and think rationally! Some idols have no fans as any kind of soulmate or soul connection, and some do. Both is completely okay! He just seems to belong to the second group. Regardless, it doesn’t appear as if he knows the person, as they could be from different countries. (Quite ironic.) The thought also doesn’t seem to cross his mind. More so, he doesn’t allow it to. He shuts his thoughts down.

Yushi - I was really debating putting him higher, because as you can see from his cards, he will much likely marry a fan in the future. Don’t let this fool or delude you, we do not know their status, work, ethnicity, or even when this person became a fan. Take this information as a grain of salt, lightly. However, it’s far in the future. (I would say like 10 years or so.) His current energy is all over the place a bit, as he is trying to figure out what he wants himself. It’s like, he wants to be in a romantic relationship right now, but also, he doesn’t want to be. Not because be doesn’t crave love, but because he is nervous. He might be a perfectionist. He yearns to be held, to feed his partner, to be together with someone he loves unconditionally and who he loves unconditionally. He wants it right now, and he is craving to be kissed in ways which makes him feel wanted, seen, loved. The only thing is, he doesn’t feel like he is ready to have a relationship yet. He isn’t his own ideal self, he thinks he needs to do this and that before he can enter a relationship. Grow more financially stable, secure, become what he deems the best version of himself.. Do this, do that. His own mind seems to pull him in so many different directions. So, he doesn’t really think about dating any fans right now. He doesn’t think about how it would be like, how good this one fan looked, how good or bad it would be, and he doesn’t think about other people’s thoughts, opinions or experiences of it. Rather, when it comes to his love life he feels tormented. He seems to really like someone but is unsure if it’s okay to tell them. A love sick yearner. If this wouldn’t be the case he would be pretty open to dating a fan, he wouldn’t mind at all! He just seems to overthink his life a lot. Should he do this to gain more money? Should he start investing or saving up? Should he buy this or not? Should he confess to his crush or not? What about this, what about that? He seems like a very serious, honest, lovely, and mature guy, the thing is; he is just experiencing the pain of being in your early 20s and having to discover yourself once again. Opposite to Sion, rather than his mind not focusing on this at all, it seems to be everywhere all at once. Actually, I feel quite bad, it must be overwhelming to live with so much worries and responsibilities. I hope his life feels more peaceful soon, that he will experience more calmness! I can’t channel more; because his thoughts are like a very very very busy highway. Let’s manifest calming hobbies for Yushi. 🙏🏻

Riku - For this one, I would love to make it as long as the other guys; and I will try, however his thoughts seem to be very private and sensitive matters so I will not be sharing some things here for the sake of respecting him. For Riku, he doesn’t seem to be focused on dating or figuring out his preferences right now, rather, he has some more serious issues that worry his heart and weight him down heavily. Which he seems to think about a lot lately. It’s not related to his health, so no worries. Still, his focus is heavily unrelated to love. Love is serious too, don’t get me wrong. He is the kind of guy to prefer long term commitment; It’s just that he already knows what he prefers, so he doesn’t have deep thoughts on it; so I can’t channel much. He is very open to dating a fan, and would be okay with everything it comes with. I don’t think he would care about status, wealth, or shallow things. As long as the their feelings are genuine and they have great chemistry he would be fine with dating a fan for sure. He doesn’t idealise and romanticise it, or has deep hatred or fear towards the topic, rather he looks at it as something that can just naturally happen to anyone. A part of life, because it’s common, even if others do not think so. (As in, that is his mentality.) I didn’t put him so low because he isn’t open; but because right now he doesn’t think much about his dating life. His thoughts seems to revolve around work, and the fact that he is a little homesick. I think he seems to worry for his mom’s health, and misses some things like his favourite food, favourite places and having time for himself. I don’t think he wants a completely quiet life where nothing happens, rather he would just prefer having more free time to relax and have time completely to himself without any interruptions. These things might seem small but when you keep stacking up on one another it could become more and more melancholic, a tad bit more overwhelming; especially if it’s nostalgia. I don’t think he would turn back time though. But he is at a time of his life where his feelings are rather deep, where he is more emotional, and he thinks more deeply and seriously. I think once he gets out of his head and spends time with his friends he will feel much lighter and appreciative of where he is right now. Although I do hope he will get to have a bit more time to himself, as that is important as well. 🫶🏻 Back to dating a fan… There aren’t much thoughts on it, because he likely made up his mind even before he became an idol. It’s something he could have heard of before while living in Japan, and something he had witnessed while being a trainee in SM. Sometimes idols just date fans and that is okay. It seems to be a personal preference in his mind. Either it happens, or it doesn’t. Both ways is cool with him. Very neutral when it comes to this topic and also very accepting! Although, if a member were to date a fan he might tease them lol. And if he were to date a fan he would act so sweet!! For some reason, he would be more gentle with their heart. More careful, thoughtful, and sweet. He would be very attentive and likely put himself in his partner’s shoes. Not breaking his partner’s heart is something he views as a very serious duty. It’s quite sweet!!!! He is a very loving boy, going through heavy times. I also do see that if he were to date a fan he wouldn’t treat them any differently than an idol. What I mean by this is he wouldn’t hide, or be ashamed. He would be proud to have his love and would make sure to make them loved and seen. Cute dates and taking a lot of couple pics seem to be right up his alley!!! His guides seem to have highlighted this because Riku might have witnessed idols date fans before (or hear about it) and yet still be ashamed of it or not own up to it. Such behaviour seems to annoy him, he seems to view it in quite a negative light. It’s like he could argue or talk about this for hours, he seems very passionate about it! To him, it’s just cowardly behaviour. Unfortunately this is all that comes through 💔

Sakuya - Baby bread let’s go !! 🥐 I put Sakuya last because he still seems to be making his mind up! And I won’t force an image on him, that’s just disrespectful. Regardless! He seems to be confused and still pondering about it, because of all the conflicting opinions around him. Don’t get me wrong, he has a mind of his own and he can definitely think for himself, it’s just that he likes to know other people’s thoughts and opinions on it as well to factor in anything he might have missed or not thought of. He seems to think of things deeply when it comes to making up his mind rather than just mindlessly picking a side and going with it no matter what in a stubborn and unchanging way. He likes to consider his own thoughts, feelings, and emotions, the one of those he views important, some casual opinions from the internet and then sit with these and make up his mind. The thing is, in the past he might have been really open to the idea of it; and even now he might still enjoy the idea of it because the visualisation, the thought of it makes him feel warm and fulfilled, however what seems obvious here is that they might have talked about this topic as a group and from that time there have been things that stuck with him quite a lot. It’s kind of like this; he likes the idea of it but the hyungs that are against it have really good points, the hyungs that are with it have really good points too. I also think that his mom, or another feminine older figure in his life who he looks up to and finds important advised him against ever dating a fan so he ponders a lot on if ‘are they all right?’. One thing that is also coming through here is that when he was a kid a Japanese pop culture/internet culture might have affected him a lot and influenced him to view idols x fans dating as a bad thing.. but as he grew he kind of found the charm in it. I am not well knowledgeable in Japanese pop/internet culture however I can give a western example; that one short story of the guy & his girlfriend on a motorcycle before they had an accident. he gave her his helmet, and died at the end because the break didn’t work. this led many people to view motorcycles as dangerous, but as they grew they still understood the charm of it. So, something like him could have impacted him as a kid. I feel like he saw it in a form of a video.. ? It doesn’t matter much, if at all actually. The point is that his heart and mind are different. In his heart he would love to date a fan; he knows he would enjoy it and honestly SM doesn’t seem to advise them against dating but rather against getting caught. In his mind, if anything were to happen, he could protect his partner, so in his heart there is this idealised and bit naive kind of excitement towards it. The desire to live. However in his mind there is thousands and thousands of reason why’s he shouldn’t. He is smart and knows everything that could go wrong. His mind isn’t naive; but very aware, and quite worried. That is why, he cannot make his mind up yet. Which is why he is last! He is very cute is you ask me to be honest.
