I never really thought about it really, I'm really sorry to hear that people you used to be friends with were so terrible to you, it's never easy when people you thought you can trust express bigotted views. I think a lot of it is knowing that behind every transphobic comment there is someone who is just ignorant and in need of educating, or so vile in being aware of how harmful they are that they aren't worth your agency and time. It's no good saying "ignore it" because sometimes you just can't ignore it, deleting a transphobic comment or message the moment you get them sometimes works but then you think of a 10/10 responce and it's too late, it's already deleted.If I have any advice, it's most deffinately that know that as a trans person living in a society that is actively trying to erase and hurt you, your existance is immediately so much more important and radical, you being alive is already a defiance to their transphobia and you're doing a world of good being around.
