LOL OK, yeah, I really have no idea who you mistook me for and I'm not terribly active here (or on any social media these days, really).

I write a lot of fanfic and also have been getting into original works (currently editing the draft of an original novel for the first time). I'm probably older than most folks here and have been doing this stuff for a long time, so I put a lot of thought and effort into fiction, and considering fictional characters as fictional PEOPLE, rather than just like dolls or tools or whatever.

Nemona has become a hyperfixation character for me for over a couple years now. I've written at least one long post about her and why I find her so relatable and compelling to me personally, and how there's more depth to her than most assume. And I know that post didn't even cover everything I could have discussed, much less the layers I've added to her via fanfic.

I also run a (very slow these days) Discord server themed around Nemona x Penny as a ship but also as like a general place for fans of the Paldea cast.

The Nemona I write most often is, yanno, completely fictional. And dating Penny. Whereas I am a real life person, happily married, and much too old besides lol

I have no idea where you got that idea, either, I'm actively not into yumeshipping as a concept, never have understood it, and have only ever known ONE person into it whom I've been able to actually socialize with in a positive manner over time.

No one else "owns" Nemona or any other fictional character in pop culture. No one else is "the #1 fan" of any fictional character in pop culture. Chasing stuff like that is petty juvenile stuff imo

Like what you like and express yourself through it and let others do the same, it's really not that hard.

However, due to the deuteragonist angle, and how it's been implemented, I need to make some calls on whether to commit the last chapter to the character who opened the story, rearrange some things a bit, and/or do a shorter epilogue or something to round some edges out.
