Waiting for the artist to finish it (I think they want to add flat colors?) but a commission from Vicku depicting Nemona and Penny at Penny's prom from a planned flashback in my fic Operation Comet Punch.

The artist captured the body language I had in mind PERFECTLY, ughhh, this looks so damn CUTE.

The new arc for Operation Comet Punch begins!

A gorgeous drawing made by my friend Hana as part of an art trade we did! I wrote for her this Professor Raifort-centric SV prequel fic, and she drew this Nemona x Penny art for my own timeskip fanfic, Operation Comet Punch. (some post-workout cuddles, hehe)

I'm really hoping this is just "Can we have more Nemopen" sorta thing and not a "I am going to ask for Nemopen every day" sorta thing. Coz I will totally not do the latter, lmao. I got other ships I enjoy dangit!

But I will post some Nemopen thoughts anyway, so... How about some fun thoughts about how Nemona feels about Penny's bullies?

I'm imagining a situation where they're wandering around one of the towns, having a nice date together, when Nemona has to go do something private like use the bathroom and the two split for a sec...

And then Penny feels a hand on her shoulder, and one of her old tormentors make themselves known once more.

Nemona comes back to an empty spot where her girlfriend was, looking around in confusion, until finally spotting her and rushing over, wondering who Penny's friend is she's talking to. The bully, of course, takes the first chance they can get to flee, and it's not until they're gone that Penny feels like she can finally breathe again.

Nemona is promptly horrified to learn that the person in question was one of Penny's former bullies, questioning why Penny didn't come fetch her immediately, and immediately she enters super vigilant protective girlfriend mode. She is not letting Penny out of sight after that, she's completely glued to her side for the rest of the day.

The hacker tries to get Nemona back to just enjoying the date but it's no use, Nemona's watch is vigilant and eternal.

And then later Nemona spots the bully again, maybe while Penny is busy getting them something to eat, and she stomps over to them...

Penny later finds the two talking, and she's never seen Nemona so... Intense before. Without even looking at her partner's face, she can just feel the sheer anger rolling off her in waves.

And then Nemona turns around, her smile back on her face, and the Champion grabs her girlfriend's hand and leads her to go eat their food... While the bully sits there white as a ghost.

Yeah! Nemopen is super duper cute. The classic Penny ship!

I always like to imagine Nemona is the type to hear Penny mention something and give it 110% effort to try and understand that interest. Penny, in turn, does try harder with battling, though she still can't quite match up to Nemona's level.

Also Penny totally pirates all her favourite media, but Nemona gets upset and just subscribes to a bunch of streaming services, bugging Penny until she watches through those instead.

Nemona doesn't understand biting your partner until she meets Penny. Her GF is so chewy... Penny keeps wearing sleeves because Nemona leaves bite marks everywhere. It'd be more of a problem if Nemona didn't look so content and cute during.

Get ready for a Saturday Morning Anime action sequence between Nemona and Geeta, both going all out with no restrictions or rules!
