K-Mart had a pretty nerve racking feeling when Claire had called her into her hummer to talk. She wanted to talk in private and all she could think was how Claire was going to grill her for letting slip that she had a crush on her. Preparing herself for the older woman whom she greatly admired, putting down her every affection. K-Mart knew Claire had overheard her go on about how she was “So hot.” For a while now it seemed the woman had brushed it off or disregarded it entirely. K-Mart would blush and smile an awkward smile whenever Claire looked at her, earning a smirk from the Redfield. Now here she was, in the passenger seat of Claire’s infamous hummer, trying to slow her breaths and steady her nervous quiver. She’d never expect the thought of Claire’s rejection to hurt like it does- never did she expect what happened next. Claire had turned K-Mart’s features towards her own and met their lips. Somehow K-Mart didn’t need but an instant to react to the situation, an invisible weight rolled off her shoulders as she exhaled against her kiss. The teenage blonde trembled, feeling strong-calloused fingers touch her cheeks when the older woman beckoned her closer. K-Mart blindly obeyed- too wrapped up in the tangle of their lips and leaning over the center console of the front seats. She prayed so hard that this wasn’t some daydream brought on by a heatstroke. This was all she cared about in the decaying world anymore. Following Claire wherever she went, being with her as the world died out.
