I  feel  arthur  takes  genuine  interest  in  the  way  the  world  changes  around  him  .  From  seasons  to  animals  depending  on  where  he  is  .  He  takes  the  time  out  of  his  day  to  sketch  out  anything  new  he  spots  when  he’s  out  on  an  adventure  n  I  honestly  think  it’s  cute  /  interesting  considering  the  type  of  man  he  is  .  He  might  just  care  more  abt  animals  than  he  does  about  people  .  So  far,  I  feel  his  favorite  animal  is  the  deer  /  stags  and  his  favorite  plant  is  Harrow  .

𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐘  𝐖𝐄𝐑𝐄  𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐈𝐑  𝐎𝐖𝐍  𝐌𝐎𝐍𝐒𝐓𝐑𝐎𝐔𝐒  𝐊𝐈𝐍𝐃 .  He  supposes  it’s  the  grief  .  Grief  could  change  even  the  weakest  of  men  --  or  women  .  Something  in  him  ---  despite  himself  pities  her  .  No  ,  perhaps  not  pity  .  She  isn’t  a  woman  to  be  pitied  .  Empathy  .  There  was  something  to  relate  to  .  Loss  in  such  a  fine  ,  yet  substantial  degree  .  He  can  never  forget  the  day  they  met  .  The  way  she  looked  --- -  wild  and  full  of  loss  .  Still  ,  ever  wild  ,  ever  heavy  with  loss  .  Only  now  --  tied  to  the  earth  by  regret  .  He  felt  no  different  .  With  arms  crossed  ,  he  leans  up  on  his  horse  .  Stares  off  into  the  distance  ---  for  she  has  brought  out  the  most  human  part  of  him  .  The  empath  .  “  S’pose  we  all  gotta  fear  somethin’,  Miss  Adler  .  Even  if  it  means  fearin’  what  we  turned  into  .  ”  He  squints  against  the  dying  light  .  Turns  to  face  her  instead  .  “  What’s  bitin’  ya  ?  You  ain’t  really  the  type  t  just  talk  like  that  fer  no  reason  .  ”

𝐇𝐄  𝐅𝐈𝐍𝐃𝐒  𝐈𝐓  𝐓𝐎  𝐁𝐄  𝐒𝐔𝐂𝐇  𝐀  𝐍𝐀𝐈𝐕𝐄  𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐆   to  say  .  He  was  never  one  for  putting  his  faith  in  God  .  Where  was  God  when  he  needed  him   ?  Where  was  God  when  this  lawless  land  threatened  to  annihilate  him  at  the  ripe  age  of  eleven  ?  Barely  doe-eyed  ,  already  a  thief  ?  WHERE  WAS  GOD  WHEN  HIS  MOTHER  LEFT  THIS  EARTH  ----  DAMNING  HIM  to  what  felt  like  a  lifetime  of  loneliness  and  misfortune  ?  No  rest  for  the  wicked  ,  now  .  The  very  wolves  that  threatened  to  debone  him  have  now  made  him  their  greatest  asset  .  No  longer  a  nameless  thing  --  a  poor  boy   .  BUT  A  MAN  HELLBENT  on  changing  this  Earth  with  their  so-called  freedom  .  Mottled  skin  aches  under  the  sun  now  ---  so  he  brings  his  hat  forward  to  shield  reddened  cheeks  .  His  jaw  rolls  ,  Arthur  tilting  his  head  while  Viper  shifts  ---  hoof  to  hoof  .  “  You  best  get  on  outta’  here  .  This  world  ain’t  gonna  let  up  ----  -    you  best  fight  for  that  life’a  yours  .  ”  He  pauses  .  Glances  around  himself  ---  gives  them  a  revolver  he  had  yanked  off  the  now  rotting  corpse  just  a  few  feet  away  .  “  Trust  no  man  out  here  .  ”

𝐇𝐄  𝐀𝐋𝐌𝐎𝐒𝐓  𝐂𝐇𝐎𝐊𝐄𝐒  𝐎𝐍  𝐇𝐈𝐒  𝐌𝐎𝐑𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆    coffee  ,  he’s  laughing  so  hard  .  Thankfully  ,  he  doesn’t  .  Instead  ,  he  tugs  his  hat  downwards  a  bit  to  obscure  his  eyes  and  the  way  he’s  grinning  behind  the  gritty  tin  cup  .  An  elbow  nudges  Vincent  ,  “  Maybe  .  Prolly  got  some  ticks  up  his  ass  too  .  Y’  never  know  with  that  bastard  .  Looks  like  he  been  rollin’  in  pig  shit  for  years  .  ”  SILENTLY  ,  the  outlaw  watches  Micah  pass  them  by  ---  keeping  quite  the  pokerface  .  Soon  ,  when  Micah  is  out  of  earshot  ,  “  Little  shit  . ”
