Marines are known to compete in a friendly PT competition from time to time, but this one presented a twist — push-ups with children from the Pattaya Orphanage in Thailand on their backs. After completing Exercise COBRA GOLD 2012, a training exercise with allies in the Asia-Pacific region, Marines with Combat Logistics Battalion 31, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) spent some time with locals to foster goodwill.

For ALL those that don’t respect Our Troops nor Our Veterans: Our Troops and Veterans are people that at a point in thier life wrote a blank check made payable to The USA for an amount “up to and including my life”
1st Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment was split across three distinctly different areas of operation. Charlie Company was in Marjah, reinforcing Marine and Afghan forces operating in the city’s remaining troubled regions. Alpha Company was in Sangin District, where they supported the 3rd and later, 1st Reconnaissance Battalion. During Operation Eastern Storm, Headquarters, Bravo and Weapons companies secured route 611, which runs through Kajaki Sofla, an area that had long been a safe haven for insurgent sub-commanders and for arms and drug trafficking.
