    As many of you know, the Druids of Gaul Order are not your typical Druid Order. Below I have compiled three of the most frequently asked questions about the Order.

1- What Gods/Goddesses do you follow? 

    We don’t follow any Deities, the closest thing to Gods/Goddesses are the Celestial beings within the Cosmos. Everything contains Spiritual Energy, however there is not One or a Group to rule over another. There is variation of Spirit, meaning that there are some Spirits that never did “live” within our reality, they have always existed in what is called “the Otherworld(s).”

    We follow the 4 point Great Wheel where most in modern Druidism/Druidry follow the 8 point Wheel of the Year. The key points to Nature are the transitions of the Seasons (Solstices & Equinox’s.) Thus leaving the other four of on the Wheel of the Year celebrations of a Deity/Deities.

2-  Why haven’t I heard of the Order before?

     The Druids of Gaul Order of Canada have been around since the 1800′s. The Order was created as immigrants from France came to the East Coast of Canada to settle. While living in the new country there was a need to keep the traditions of the “old ways” alive as they mingled with many other cultures in their new home. So a group of 4 Families started to hold “Gatherings” on a regular basis, to share stories, experiences, and to explore their new surroundings. The Four Families found that the importance of keeping true to their heritage, and living off the land in a traditional manner worked to their advantage. Along with the lore of the “old world,” and the deep connection to the Earth, Sun, and Moon, they were labeled as the Druids of Gaul.

     The East Coast of Canada being a very religious area in the old days. With the area mainly under catholic rule, the Druids of Gaul kept to themselves, creating a “Closed” Order, and remains as such to this day. However, the winds of change are upon us. An awakening towards the needs of the Earth in the eyes of the population. We are working on several ideas that would allow a form of distant learning and membership, not for profit, but for the love of the Earth.

3-   Where could I read up on the Druids of Gaul Order?

     The Druids of Gaul Order of Canada have always stuck with the oral traditions in their teachings. That meaning instead of reading from a book on beliefs, practices, ritual, Natural Magic, you would be assigned a mentor/teacher. This manner was keeping to tradition and leaving little room for misinterpretation.
