Birthday post!!! I’m 19 now :D

I’ve always felt positively about the canon design for the RainWings in WoF, but I wanted to put my own spin on it for this piece. I like the idea of basing RainWings off of tropical snakes and lizards, so for this particular dragon, I took inspiration from emerald tree boas (mostly because of those teeth)!

I think everyone should have their own Sakinorva. For some people, it might be a pen-and-paper diary. Maybe a Pinterest board. A Twitter timeline, even. A photo album. A letterbox reserved for pen pals. A painting collection. Posters in your room. Conversations at a bus stop. Your love for your siblings.

"I hate Jake Parker's style, it's not for Wof!"

Have you ever stopped to think that maybe Tui herself (aka the creator of Wof) likes their style?

It's okay not to like it, nobody is obligated to like it, but it's idiotic to hate on artists who have to transform an entire book into a comic book in just a few months

"But the style is unrealistic and strange!"

Dragons don't exist!!!! Making dragon characters have human expressions is not easy, especially when making Gn about them

it has been SO long since i even opened tumblr, and for that i wanted to apologize.

going into college has been pretty tough, and i've been dedicating a lot of my time to some different things going on in my life.

i'm just sorry to have left you guys in the dark about it :(

i'll do my best to finally be more active; as i couldn't be more grateful for the community that i've been a part of here. even if only for a while.

and though ive grown more interests outside and away from wings of fire, that gratitude has never changed when it comes to my art journey ^^

i've still been drawing !! that passion has never left me, and i have so much content that i'm excited to gradually share with everyone;
