sometimes being plural is realizing you're plural (headmate count: 3) then realizing the random voices in your head are also headmates (headmate count: 6) then realizing youve always been plural and those weirdly distinct personalities of yours that you gave names and doodled group pictures of (in your expansive and fantastical headspace no less) four years ago were also headmates and theyre back (headmate count: 9) and then you realize all characters ever are in a city in headspace (same place you go to have imaginary conversations with people you know to help you make decisions) and that when those characters leave the city *they become headmates* (headmate count: at least 12 and possibly 15 or maybe functionally infinite how do i even categorize this)

Sometimes my brain does what I call a split second mental “refresh” which leads to me abruptly getting disoriented and going “ah! I just had a refresh.” It is unclear what to make of this because I made the term up

to carry on from my last post about how the psych industry is incredibly biased and imperfect. we HAVE to stop pretending the current understanding of the human brain is the ABSOLUTE FINAL TRUTH with NO WIGGLE ROOM and NO POTENTIAL FOR CHANGES IN THE UNDERSTANDING OF ANY PART OF HUMAN PSYCHOLOGY.
you know how up until only 40 years ago, people thought autism was a male exclusive phenomenon? how common psychology facts are constantly being restudied and debunked every year? that will KEEP HAPPENING! AND THAT'S OKAY! PSYCHOLOGY IS AN EVERCHANGING FIELD! all you have to do is use the current information and frameworks available as a STEPPING STONE. the current understanding of psych is incredibly useful! but it's NOT THE CONCRETE UNCHANGING TRUTH OF THE UNIVERSE'S MECHANISMS.
with all that out of the way. speaking as someone in a system with substantial trauma. can I please ask that people spend less time being unkind to systems without substantial trauma? thank you kindly!
