His wings had always been somewhat sensitive. Even the slightest breeze ruffling soft, scarlet feathers could send shivers down his spine on a bad day.

It had always been a problem when he was growing up, trying to become a hero despite the oversensitive appendages that made it all possible. It wasn't like that all the time though, and some sensations were quite pleasant to the touch.

For example, your hands. Soft and delicate, they were always careful not to grip too hard or pull on them.

It's not like the entirety of his wings were so sensitive, however. Only certain spots of feathered skin would twitch when bothered. For example, when you would touch certain spots, like where the wing connects to his shoulder blade seamlessly, the entire appendage would flutter and twitch instinctively in response.

This was the case when you ended up falling asleep on him.

You've been suffering from crappy sleep for the past few nights now, and in short, it's driven you just a little bit mad. Bad dreams haunt your sleep and cling to your memory throughout the day, dancing in the foreground of your mind as the continuous sleep deprivation drives your sense of paranoia through the roof.

Even when sleeping cuddled up to your boyfriend in a soft set of freshly washed blankets, tonight is no exception.

You toss and turn in bed, disturbing the blonde from his light sleep and at first he wonders if you're awake, and what you're having so much trouble with. As you suddenly whimper and grab onto the wing that was cuccooned around him he had to bite back a startled yell, a shiver jolting electric cold up and down his spine at the very sudden, and very rough touch.

He's not hurt, by any means - just shivery while he wraps his arms around you and pulls you into a secure hold, his wing flicking slightly to coax your hand into a slightly more comforting position. It's torture watching you suffer like this when he's so close, but he's helpless. You need the sleep, so he's left with no other option than to comfort you, and hope that it translates through to your dreams.

Warmth encases your body when Keigo's wings wrap around you in a hug so close and safe, and it's almost some kind of miracle in his eyes when he finally sees you relax. You've just been so exhausted lately, all he's wanted to do is rock you to sleep until you felt better, and now he can do just that.

The nightmares start to recede at the firm touch on your hair, petting it and pulling your head so close to his chest that you can feel his heartbeat, the soft thump repeating in your mind until dawn.
