on neil and andrew getting outed

nora mentioned in the ec that andrew and neil’s relationship gets outed to the exy world, and I raise you this:

(neither andrew nor neil cared about the homophobic comments, what bothered them the most were the press’ incessant questions. their coach was probably the most distressed, though, because neil didn’t hold back with the reporters.)

jeremy is the first to release a statement in their support, and he and jean come out in solidarity.

neil’s the first to see the news out of the two, and when he shows the articles to andrew, he shrugs it off with, “tell your frenchman and his boyfriend we don’t need their charity.”

neil texts jean, “thank you.”

jean simply answers, “I have stood with your incompetent ass for worse things than your goalkeeper.”

and if you catch sight of the four of them out at a diner in cali the next week, do tell the press. neil will be all too happy to rip them a new one.
