The way this is filmed and edited, from the closeups to the music cutting off at the switch to the wider shot, to the light glow disappearing from Lee Dongsik's face as they just keep looking at each other with this sort of numb finality... like they're both going through a litany of pleas towards each other without saying a word but you can hear them as if they were shouting.
