This is my main blog where I do my regular posting.

I also have @clockworkdaughter which is my NSFW (not porn) blog, and @modelingtipstricks which is pretty much dead but in theory I'll post tips and tricks on making models, dioramas, and miniatures.

This blog has a few things. I'll post models and dioramas I've made, the occasional amateur art and writings I've done, and just general thoughts and opinions on everything and anything.

The main thing I do is Maid Monday, where I post and rate maid designs and uniforms as a maid first and character second. I've been pretty consistent about posting this year.

One to get into the college (optional).

One for a class.

One to open a door in the first dungeon.

One to break a ward.

One to unlock the staff of Magnus (the only puzzle use).

And two to open doors in the final dungeon.

(technically you have to use the staff twice for the final boss but I don't count those since it's functionally like using any other weapon and not a bow).

Keep in mind the first one is also optional. Technically you can get through the entire magic focused quest line of Skyrim with only six uses of magic.

Only one use was for a puzzle, three were to open a door which I guess you could argue is a puzzle in the same way that "Triangle block goes in the square hole" is a puzzle.

The other three are just "Oh it's the magic quest I guess you should use magic."

There are no enemies that can only be defeated using magic.

There are no enemies where it is optimal to fight using magic (in fact the way Skyrims level system works enemies out level your spells even when playing a dedicated magic build so it's harder to fight them with magic then it is melee or archery in my experience).

So yeah, the magic focused quest only needs six spells to beat it. Now that is about one per major dungeon but imagine if the companions quest line only needed six swings of a sword to beat.

All because Bethesda was so paranoid about making the quest accessable to non magic builds they didn't focus on magic in their magic focused quest.

THAT'S THE THING THAT ANNOYS ME THE MOST!

Because yeah, you technically don't need to sneak around and be a stealthy assassin for the Dark Brotherhoods quests, you can unga boonga barbarian your way through it. But that doesn't bother me as much because you're still doing assassin like things. You get bonuses for approaching the quests like an assassin too. While you aren't required to play a stealth killer, you are incentivised to play as one.

No such system exists for the mages guild quest line.

In the final dungeon there are two doors that need spells to unlock. One requires ice, the other requires flames.

Every race starts with the flame spell by default. Every race.

And yet, not even five feet away, they put a spell tome that teaches you the default flame spell every race gets by default. Even though there is no way I am aware of to loose spells.
