Better late than never, answering after I was tagged by @beebookmagic !!
I suppose it is the most formal introduction that I have for the Mayrell siblings on this blog. Oops. Some context and yapping under the cut!

Context
Félicia and Tav are half-siblings, though they always refer to each other as if they were full-blooded siblings. The day Tav was born a tragedy ensued, killing "their" parents and leaving both of the siblings as orphans. Félicia took it upon her shoulders to raise her brother herself.
As one might expect, a 10 year old taking such responsibility didn't necessarily deliver the best care another child would need growing up. It didn't help that Tav was a bastard and that, though she never admitted it out loud and somewhat knew her resentment was misplaced, Félicia could never forgive the child nor the elf that sired it.
They do love each other deeply. They only have each other, after all.
Unfortunately either one or the other dies less than a tenday before the events of Baldur's Gate 3 start. The remaining sibling embarks on a quest of vengeance as a result.
More yapping
Félicia is a pretty consistent and rigid person. She's definitely not the sharpest tool in the shed and she's a deeply religious person (Ilmatari faith), but due to her sheer strength, charisma and stubbornness, she was always able to survive things meant to end her.
One thing that doesn't help her is that she's always convinced she is Right, even when she is very obviously Wrong. Meet the Olympic champion of t-posing and mental gymnastics. She's a classic vengeance paladin who dropped both INT and WIS stats to the ground and runs through brick walls with a single braincell and a promise.
On the other hand Tav is a mercurial person deeply unsatisfied in a life the he thinks he belongs in, which in turn makes him more prone to inflict all sorts of abject cruelty on the poor sods who dare stand against him. It's a man-eat-man world and he's going to come out on top, even if it's out of petty resilience, because no one else is ever going to fight for him.
During the game he comes out changed, from the fact that he forms bond with people who would actually stop him from ruining his own life and who truly care, and who he also cares for. His alignment changes because he discovers a new path for himself that actively makes him happy, and is now prone to act on his empathy (even if it's limited to the downtrodden he can recognize himself in).
They are both kind of nasty people, to be honest. Félicia is genuinely trying to do "good" by following the structures she knows to a T and bulldozing people and feelings under her and her cheer inability to communicate. Tav is kind of a pathological liar who would sell most people he knows for a corn chip because he might as well and probably thinks it's funny. I love them to bits.
The only things they have in common is their red hair their pretty face and their revengeful dispositions (and one half of Tav being human I suppose).
