Theyâre besties and u canât tell me otherwise
So every now and then I get a comment on Love? I Think Not, telling me how much they enjoyed the story and that they reread it every year/few months and how much to means to them - which of course I love, and I'm super psyched that people still enjoy it!
But that story is already over 8 years old. I gave it a read as I wondered how it held up, and compared to my more recent stuff its not the best - the prose is clumsy, I clearly didn't know what I wanted to do with the wider world, and there are a few tense errors that really stand out.
So my question is this - would anybody be interested in a 10th anniversary retelling of Love? I Think Not? I would have to start writing it now to get it out on time. The old fic would still be there, this would just be a more up-to-date, polished version.
Lemme know what you think, its a lot of time to waste if noone would read it!
Yeahyeahyeshyeahyeahyeahyeahyeahyeahyeahyeahyeahyeahyeahyeahyeahyeahyeahyeahyeahyeahyeahyeahyeahyeahyeahyeah
People send me asks every week informing me theyâve seen my fics used for ai chatbots or that they themself on alt accounts are scraping my fics to generate ai writing(which is seriously messed up)
At first I stayed quiet, not wanting to bring it up because I know itâll just cause more people to scrape my works.
But Iâm so tired. Iâm tired of my hard work being stolen. Why do you do this to us? Havenât I given you enough free stories? Do you know how much I love all of you, how happy it made me when people commented on my fics and said they liked them?
Now that AI is more popular, Iâve seen in real time how people started treating writers like they were just a content farm. People abandon us or feed our works into AI if we donât pump out stories fast enough.
Itâs exhausting. The last few years I wrote so much that I ended incredibly burnt out to the point Iâve barely written anything in the past few months, but itâs still not enough.
Nothing is enough.
Please, for the love of god give your favorite writers some love. A lot of us are so close to giving up. I know I am.
havenât drawn him evurrr omg the second one gets worse the more I look at it donât lookâŠ

Its giving "Cold Blood, Warm Heart" by @kassymalone
Do yall ever think about how sheltered revali might have been?
Like, I think about how the Rito seemed to keep to their own when it comes to Hyrule's other regions. Everyone else knew each other to some extent-- except for the Rito.
I think its because the Rito prefer not to interact with the other races in Hyrule outside of business
And then I wonder if revali has ever actually trained elsewhere outside of rito village or hebra
I just find it interesting to think about if he's ever gone to harsh conditions in other regions to train
Obsessed with this.
Consider that Revali may have never even left Hebra before when he gets appointed as a champion. He's still young, and he cares deeply for his village and is their primary protector - what reason would he have ever had to leave? Would he have even been able to if he'd wanted to? After all, they're all relying on him.
I want to imagine the first time he really leaves his domain IS for the Champions Ceremony. How weird that would have been for him. Almost frivolous, to have a day off from leading the Village soldiers in battle and instead being permitted to fly further than he has ever flown before.
He's seen Hylians before, certainly. At least the Princess and Link. (In Age of Calamity the Rito DID attack Link - granted because of his tiny guardian companion. But they didn't bat an eye over a Hylian being an enemy. Perhaps they see extremely few Hylians, and are typically wary of them. Perhaps they have an unpleasant past.)
But has he ever seen a Goron? A Gerudo? A Zora? We never see any of these races visit the Village in either game. Maybe Hebra is too cold for other races. How weird must that have been - leaving home for the first time, meeting different species of people, different cultures you've never seen before - only read about in books.
Do you think he was full of questions he didn't want to ask for fear of appearing unintelligent? He's ever so well read - but no book has ever told him how Gorons greet one another with a hefty slap on the back, or how one is supposed to greet a Zora Princess in an appropriately polite manor. Does he know a word of Gerudo? Does he inwardly panic when Urbosa greets him with "Sav'aaq" and he doesn't know what it means?
Hyrule Castle must be alien to him. This huge stone structure with walls and doors and bars to keep undesirables out and it's residence closed inside. Rito Village is nothing but open plan. There are no walls anywhere, no enclosed spaces, and all their structures are crafted from wood.
Do you think it was claustrophobic the first time he stepped down winding hallways within the Castle? Like being placed in a labyrinth - even the windows too small to escape and fly free from.
We can assume they were at least offered some sort of feast and to stay the night - it seems reasonable for a royal celebration.
Did Revali recognise a single dish that was served? Was he able to get any rest at all on unmoving Hylian beds - for all they are plush and royal, they don't sway with the winds to gentle rock him like hammocks do.
Do you think he realised that night just how big this all was? Just how much he had been a big fish in a small pond - and now this river he has been freed into is more of an ocean than a stream. How all of the other Champions were such influential people. A Princess, a Chieftain, and a Lord. Leaders of their huge domains. Rito Village is so small in comparison to every other sector of Hyrule and Revali isn't even their leader - he's a phenomenal warrior, sure - but he doesnt have the political background they do. He's the youngest Champion by far - Zora age slowly of course, Mipha is clearly as much a teenager as he is, but she has still lived in these lands for nearly a hundred years - perhaps more. Urbosa and Daruk are elders of their people - wise and well known.
Do you think he felt small, that day? Do you think he knew he wasn't important enough to stand amongst these people? Do you think that's why he felt he had to be so much louder, why he had to put the only other person in the group who didn't have a leadership role down just to feel like he wasn't the smallest person there?
Do you think he felt homesick? So far away from his little pond where he was once the biggest fish anyone had ever seen, when now he feels so swallowed up by the far bigger beasts he swims amongst? Do you think he was insecure that one day, they might turn around and decide he isn't good enough to be amongst them?
Revali was already known for training himself half to death. How much harder do you think he began to push himself once he met the Champions and realised how unprepared he was? He had only just started figuring out his Gale. Everybody else had been born with their abilities but he was still being thrown around by his own whirlwind just months before the Calamity. How many ribs do you think he cracked forcing himself to do it again, and again, and again, and again, until there was no possible chance of mistake.
Behind his bravado, his proud and confident act, his forceful showoff attitude to desperately convince his companions that he was worthy of being amongst them - was Revali scared? Was he lost? Did he have a single person in the world to confide in? Did he whisper to Medoh late at night when his wings were too sore to take him back to his roost, and confess just how big this all felt?
I could dispense of Ganon easily, he huffs to the world. But if he really believed that, he wouldn't have settled for his part as a side role in the end. Revali, beneath it all, knew he wasn't enough. I wonder if that made it feel all the worse when he lost? If in his final moments, he was left alone with guilt in his stomach, knowing he'd felt like a fraud every step of the way as a Champion, and now he was being outed to the world as a failure.
The excerpt paragraph made me look up and stare at my wife for three solid minutes waiting for them to return to the couch. I couldnât move on with my life. I had to read it aloud to them to their audible disgust and then they read all the comments with unbridled delight.
Now we keep repeating âLike Zorro.â
Im so sorry to subject everyone to this

Bite the Hand That Raises You (SFW)
Characters: Tamsin the Necromancer, 27 Skellys Content: SFW Wordcount: ~1500 Notes:Â Life has been a little rough recently, so I looked up a writing prompt and ran with the silliness.
There were a lot of things a rookie necromancer expected to see on a foggy morning. Her skeletons picketing for dental benefits was not one of them.
Tamsin had always dreamed of commanding a mighty undead army. Not for evil, necessarily. She just liked the aesthetic. The black robes, the glowing sigils, the moody candlelight. Ever since sheâd found Raising the Dead for Fun and Profit in a libraryâs misfiled self-help section, necromancy had seemed like the obvious career path.Â
Plus, it beat retail.Â
