DEATH'S DESIGN

       he’s leaning back on his palms, gaze focused up towards the sky. the night is clear, glittering with stars and shining a deep blue instead of black. he can’t help but feel like it’s nicer looking at it from down here, or at least he doesn’t remember ever being so fascinated when he’d been on the other side looking down. “did the stars always look like that?” he asked, and his head turns to look at her, smile soft and genuinely curious. as Death he’d never been the most observant of entities, there was so much he’d missed until he’d come to find her it seems. “i feel like if i knew that i would have come down here a lot sooner.” he sighed, almost wistful. 

“   —   i  don’t  have  a  soul.   ”      clear  DOES  keep  the  straight  face,   arms  just  crossing  over  her  chest,  head  cocked  sideways.     it’s  getting  steadily  more  awkward  the  longer  green  eyes  stare  at  his  face  before  finally,  finally  after  a  good  chunk  of  time  she  looks  away,   smile  curling  her  lips  as  she  does  so.
