A little reflection on the difference of Pravaal's role as Uri'el's subordinate in canon and in the "Villain/ what if AU"
-His Guard Dog: In canon Pravaal is not only Uri'el's consort but also his personal bodyguard( and later will be captain of the city-state guard) He will put his former mercenary knowledge at use to protect his husband from those who were against his rule. Uri'el was not born an avii so to the eyes of many eh did not deserve his position and let's say there were more than one assassination attempts. Their bond is trong and based on mutual trust, they bicker at times but it never gets in the way of their duties. Pravaal in general is very protective of his husband and later of his daughter too.
-His Lap Dog: in this AU thingd didn't go as they should have, Uri'el didn't use the relic to aid against the padra but instead he was seduced by their worshipping and joined the cult becoming their "god on earth"; Pravaal instead never left home, never became a merc,never became independent and confident but stayed a submissive outcast that hsi family couldn't wait to yeet away and so they did, hoping to form an alliance with the kingdom of sky the big noble families of the Coral Fort sent tributes to the empress of the kingdom of sky and to Uri'el hoping to gain their protection and Pravaal was one of such tributes offered to the leader of the cult as a servant. Their relationship is detached, Uri'el is annoyed by the fact they sent him a tribute with a faulty sky spell but even more by the fact that just like in canon he is attraced to him but he rejects it and manifest it by being rude towards the other that instead of barking back would just lower his head with his tail beween his legs. Pravaal has also conflicted feelings for his lord but he's mostly intimidated by him and keeps an obedient and quiet behaviour
also to answer to a friend's question :if they hypotetically switched places canon!pravaal would kick evil!uri's butt while canon!uri would take good care of the poor traumatized servant!pravaal
Nearly 14,000 words later, and it's finally finished: My own take on a Dragon Age modification of DnD 5E! It is created with thought for those who are pre-existing fans of Dragon Age, but potentially new to Dungeons and Dragons.
In this handbook, you will find everything you need for a TTRPG in the Dragon Age setting:

3 classes (warrior, rogue, mage)
5 specializations for each class
16 sample backgrounds

There are three main reasons I decided to put my lore knowledge to work and make this:
The official Dragon Age Tabletop game is just not that user friendly, in my experience with it; especially for anyone new to TTRPGs. This book I have put together is based on Dungeons and Dragons 5th Edition, which is a system that far more people are familiar with, and therefore is a) well known by many already, and b) easier to access further information on for those new to it.
While I was able to find a couple versions of similar modifications other people have made, those versions were out of date with the lore, and/or did not meet my personal taste/standards.
I love being a Dungeon Master, and I want to run more games set in Thedas in the future. But like I said, the official rules just aren't good for me, and I would prefer something like... well, this!
This handbook is free to use by anyone who wants it. (You are also, of course, free to make changes for your personal games as you like.)
