Death Credits

So last night Vales (formerly know as Veils but had to change name for legal reasons) played a show at The White Rabbit in Plymouth.  At the show the first band on, Emerald Eyes, got up to play. The vocalist ,Miles (last name I don’t know),  apparently already drunk, announced to the crowd that  (and I’m paraphrasing here) “tote bags are for fucking queers and that shit has no place in hardcore”. Presumably a dig at Vales who were selling new merch, tote bags included, to help fund their upcoming trip to the US.

The guitarist, Ben, from Vales approached Miles and attempted to clear the air. This seemed to be the end of it. Just before Vales were due to go on Miles began to argue Ben again. Vales vocalist Chloe approached Miles and told him she didn’t feel comfortable with him watching her band play given what he had said and that it would be best if he went home. Miles then swung for Chloe and hit her in the chest. Meanwhile friends of Miles and possibly fellow bandmates stole Vales merch and proceeded to piss all over it .

So not only did this band make homophobic slurs and then assault someone who calls them out on it (who he would have outmatched in size and strength because I’ve met her and she’s really fucking petite)  but they also then stole people’s property and destroyed it, leaving Vales out of pocket and unable to sell it.

These fuckers need putting on blast. I’d recommend you dropping a note by their Facebook but you’ll not be surprised to hear that they have deleted their page.

Spread the word: Emerald Eyes are nothing but pieces of shit that don’t deserve to play any fucking where. Promoters, take fucking note. Don’t put these fuckers on. Don’t associate with them. They are scum.
