Been awhile since I've drawn Sol, and I've long since ported her into my revenants setting, so lets seee. A vampire, but not in the traditional sense! Vampirism in this world is typically the consequence of an over reliance on blood magic involving other creatures. Technically most magic in this world is blood magic, even though what is actually being manipulated is the soul. Humans, tactile beings that they are, tend to be unable to manipulate something as ephemeral as "the soul" without some sort of tangible medium.

So, naturally, this is most often blood. Everyone has it, easy to use, direct conduit. Problems arise when you start to use the blood (or rather the soul) of others to go above and beyond your own psychical limitations.

ohhhh johnny gets evil...

johnny is immediately snatching them all and Plotting, he is Scheming... the first thing he does is identify who is keeping them all together and sane and that's taka-- then he's dragging taka to a separate area and slapping a magic suppressing collar on him so he's really alone... then, he's getting tinto taka's head: making him follow him everywhere, feeding him lies about what's happened to john and kenshi, making him doubt himself and his other partners, just really wearing him down...

from there, i do fear taka gets worn down enough that he convinces johnny to let john and kenshi go and just keep him... and johnny does, because now he has taka all to himself and he can do what he wants... and then in no time at all taka is a revenant too and that's just horrible terrible awful news for everyone 💀

but johnny, if he had decided to stick with kenshi or john, would be oh so sickly sweet to try and sway them to his cause... loving and patient with kenshi, explaining why he's doing what he's doing, even if it looks bad he promises it's just for the sake of them all, it's to protect them-- and with john? johnny gets handsy and a little teasing, riles him up just to play to his weaknesses and break him down all over again...

How does Revenant King Liu Kang treat his best friend/secret crush/loyal follower Kung Lao? Does he realize that their relationship is growing unequal and toxic or is he too busy basking in the "freedom" of his new power? Does he even notice Kung Lao now that he and Kitana have no limits?
