Hey if you’re schizophrenic/psychotic I just want you to know that you’re a wonderful person and that you deserve so much better than the demonization, marginalization and stigmatization you face in this society.
Please consider reblogging this/other positivity posts for schizophrenic/psychotic people every once in a while. If you have more than 100 followers, odds are that a couple of them experiences psychosis and that they rarely see positivity posts for people with their symptoms.
Schizophrenic people are genuinely some of the most chill humans ALIVE I love them forever I love you guys forever
ALSO!! Adding onto my rant- I think part of the reason I failed the empathy test, might be due to my own self hatred, I've done a lot of shit I don't think I deserve empathy or anything, because I wasn't a "perfect victim" and I think my reason for (previously) really disliking the final might be due to the fact it made me uncomfortable that there is a possibility that she deserves empathy because I myself don't think I deserve empathy- and I recognize that now-
(Again so so sorry about this rant ^^")
.
This. Deadass changed my view on the whole show- (in a good way)
See, my biggest pet peeve with the final was my (wrong) thought process that the show was trying to get me to forgive Jax, and now that I've seen this, I think I need to rewatch the whole show again- because I think I just didn't understand the point the first watch though- I think part of that is because I didn't rewatch any of the episodes after I watched them the first time (I've been watching since episode 2 released, so all of the episodes being so spread out and me not refreshing my memory on it definitely effected my watching experience)
I still wish (wish being the key word here, not a criticism, just a wish) that gangles complex feelings about Jax was explored more, because I just really like Gangle ^^"
Anyways, I would have put this in a reblog or comment, but both of those are turned off so ^^" and the OP doesn't have asks on so-
I hope you don't mind the rant- I just wanted to put this *somewhere*
I might also copy and paste this on my blog-
Hey! Thanks for sharing your thoughts I think the show could have done some things better, for example, exploring more Gangle's complex thoughts. The reason I think she could have been great on the final episode is because.. She failed the empathy test. She couldn't feel bad for Jax after she abstracted. And you know what? That is completely valid. Even if Pomni failed that test (and she's not a victim of Jax's bullying, unlike Gangle), that would also be valid. Every feeling in this world is valid. The thing is, the show is asking you to at least try, and understand someone's suffering, even if that person is not a good person. And I hope more people would do that :( Wanted to share my thoughts too! Hope you dont mind

Hey! Hope you’ve been okay. I was looking through people I followed and saw that you hadn’t posted anything in 2 months. I hope you’re doing well. 🫶
Hi : ') I didn't even realise it's been so long since I've las posted, I simply stopped using Tumblr, so sorry if I'm answering this late. Not all these past few days have been exactly bad x'd but this month has not been the best, ngl. I don't want to vent to you, cause it's not you job to check if I'm doing okay, but just so you know I really appreciated this ask, seriously.
Lately I've been drawing only my ocs BAHAHAH so that's also a reason why I've not been posting (literally been super obssesed with my own ocs since december lmaoooo), since Ik not everyone wants to see that kind of content lmao.
Anyways ty sm :'') really appreciate this.
Absolutely insane how I was in such a horrible moment in my life, and exactly when I was in the middle of a breakdown, someone sent me this ask. People are wonderful. Never stop being kind, please
the leftism leaving people's bodies when you tell them fat people are human and actually it's fucked up to say that your worst nightmare is to look like us
the leftism leaving people's bodies when you say that it's fine if fat people are also unhealthy. yes you can absolutely be extremely fit and healthy while being fat but it's also literally fine if that fat person is unhealthy
the amazing digital circus is a show about empathy and what it does to you if you go too long without a support system so the show starts with sympathizing with Pomni (the most empathetic person, easy), ep2 is empathizing with an NPC in a game (no flaws), ep3 is empathizing with a man who has dementia, ep4 is empathizing with someone who annoys you when they're unmasking, ep5 is asking you to empathize with a rich white woman and so on....
so it all works up to the empathy boss - a bush era edgelord millenial trans girl who thinks she's Max from Sam & Max and is inherently unworthy of love
and some people failed the empathy test
Exactly the show is not asking you to forgive her the show is asking to empathize with her those are different things
u treat me badly i love u madly

So I was scrolling and saw this image in an article about the European heat wave,
And was like, uh, are you missing something there, buddy? Like all that red in northern Africa? Because that's a lot of red.
And I was going to give them the benefit of doubt, since I don't know much about the climate in Northern Africa, aside from Morroco and Egypt, which seem like really hot places, so you know, maybe it's normal there?
But nope, that's not the case:
Africa is struggling with heat waves and many countries on the continent lack the resources rich economies have to deal with rising temperat
Some selections from the article:
"The region has been experiencing some of the most intense heat waves in recent years, but in many cases they’ve been under-reported due to misconceptions about Africans’ ability to withstand them.
“Africa is seen as a sunny and hot continent,” said Amadou Thierno Gaye, a research scientist and professor at Cheikh Anta Diop University in Dakar, the capital of Senegal. “People think we are used to heat, but we are having high temperatures for a longer duration. Nobody is used to this.”
"The Sahel, for instance, has been heating at a faster pace than the global average despite being hot already. Burkina Faso and Mali, both in West Africa’s Sahel, are among countries that are set to become almost uninhabitable by 2080, if the world continues on its current trajectory, a UK university study found. Its people are especially vulnerable due to shrinking resources, such as water, and poor amenities, and a dearth of trees and parks means there are few options for places to cool off."
“Because the truth is, tech doesn’t have an image problem. It doesn’t have a message problem. It has an intention problem. What’s wrong with the axe murderer who broke into my house is not that he hasn’t successfully persuaded me to buy into his narrative. What’s wrong is that he’s trying to kill me with an axe. Similarly, when you launch a product that’s designed to put millions of people out of work, block access to sources of verifiable truth, replace human creativity with slop, and lower the barriers to every sort of atrocity, the problem isn’t that you haven’t told the public a good story about those things. The problem is that you are trying to do them.”

What's in a name
it was international jazz day and all you guys listened to was a single album??
not even close to joking when i say that everyone going "meeeee :3" in the notes needs to ask themselves why they're so much more willing to listen to jazz that isn't made by black artists
If you like Casiopea, check out some classic jazz funk fusion albums like Head Hunters by Herbie Hancock or Return to Forever by Chick Corea.
If you like the Cowboy Bebop soundtrack, check out some later period big band albums like Mingus Ah Um by Charles Mingus and The Roar of '84 by Buddy Rich.
If you like the Persona soundtrack, check out some more modern jazz fusion albums with electronic elements like Black Focus by Yussef Kamaal or Freedom Fables by Nubiyan Twist.
but also check out Dorothy Dandridge or else i'll curse you 4 fkn eva
while you're at it how the fuck'r u not listening to Billie Holiday
i listen to a lot of cool jazz specigically west coast jazz like julie london i find artists by delving in to music and going based on the sounds and genres so then i can find good albums. jazz is one of those things thats. ugh. i cant even get in to all the reasons why every jazz artist is unique.

ever since i was a little girl i knew i was doomed to take things too seriously and think about them forever
Not my usual topic on this blog but people often fail to mention how women in more privileged situations often abuse and enact misogyny on women they have control over or who are marginalized in other ways (poor, nonwhite, queer).
Like, yes, female doctors can cause their female patients suffering because they don't take their pain seriously. Yes, female teachers can abuse their female students because they think they're not acting "ladylike" enough. Mothers abuse their daughters. Women can rape women (and men!)
I feel like we do a huge disservice to anyone who's been abused by women when we fail to talk about this at all. It doesn't mean those privileged women AREN'T affected by misogyny, because at the end of the day the leopards will eat their faces too and their privileged husbands can completely fuck them over in misogynistic ways if they so decide. But women in power, though rare, sometimes got to that point of power by fucking over more vulnerable women and ALSO by being able to adhere to oppressive gender roles better sometimes
Handmaid's tale does an incredible job at showcasing this. So many women are on the ladder above the handmaids. And at the top is of course, all of the men (well, mostly the white ones, but the show never seems to talk about race in this aspect unfortunately).
