After a few walks around the dorm, he ends up finding Kalim in the kitchen. Currently looking at the post it notes stuck onto the fridge. Or well, trying to.
"...uh- huh? Yeah?"
He said with a startled look, a small smile as he turned to look at Isam. Looks like he zoned out.
”What are you looking at?”
[Theres a few notes. Some are Jamil’s recipes that had been transferred to the fridge, some are notes of encouragement and general kindness.]
“You were zoned out…everything alright?”
[Isam knew something wasn’t right but he still wanted to find out naturally.]
"Just the notes..! I kinda don't have anything to do so I'm just here.."
He exclaimed, putting a hand on his hip as he shrugged his shoulders.
"I'm doing alright! Sorry for that zone out earlier, didn't realized I did that..!"
”Oh it’s fine, no need to apologize.”
[Isam pauses, unsure whether asking this seemed normal or not.]
“Then…if you’re not busy, would you like to take a walk with me? We could pass by the gardens, maybe? Just for some fresh air, y’know.”
"oh, sure!"
He nods, a small hum leaving him as he walked over to Isam. "I haven't actually gone on a walk in awhile..so uh, thanks for asking."

The scarabia dorm is a busy place, but even they can't turn a blind eye to their usually sunny housewarden acting a little... under the weather. Not when it went on for this long - not with Jamil just up amd gone. With every check-in Kalim waved off, came another concerned gaze and a tight lipped smile.
When Kalim came back to his room that day, a full lunchbox laid on his desk, in a backdrop of colorful post-it notes and graffiti. "We hope you feel better!", they announced. "For the housewarden!", "Take all the time you need". And also, less impressively, "Kalim Al Asigma" in a freshmans writing.
He stared at the lunchbox that sat on his desk, and for the first time in awhile. The dull lights in his eyes shimmered, it wasn't long, it wasn't obvious, but he felt surprised by the gift.

He held the lunchbox in his hands, looking at all the post it notes stuck onto it. He had to hold back a small laugh at the playful take on his name.
He felt lighter, for once.
