EMBRACE THE MADNESS

What the hell is going on? Clarke wondered, taking a look around the town before entering a crowded coffee shop. At this point, she’d truly believed that she’d seen it all, but alas, reality had taught her otherwise. Truthfully, it was nice to be out of isolation, although she didn’t trust it. Rather than allow her confusion to show, she ordered a drip coffee, and then sat at one of the few open tables. Opening her sketchbook, filled with scenes from the lab, she began drawing the cafe around her – the first sign of life in years. (Maybe this was a blessing?) When someone passed her, she looked up, offering, “You can sit by me, if you want. I’m only drawing, and conversation isn’t all bad.” She paused before adding, “I’m Clarke.”

rosita shrugs, taking her tea & sitting across from the girl. she’s supposed to be resting, the gunshot to her shoulder still healing, but the need to explore had been too much. plus, she hasn’t had a WARM drink in years, so why not treat herself while out exploring ?? “ sure. what are you drawing ? ” she asks, only half-interested as she quickly glances at the sketches, not quite able to pinpoint anything. “ i’m rosita. nice to meet you, clarke. ”

‘Don’t make me belly bump you.’

“ that is ... the WEIRDEST threat i’ve ever heard before. ”

“So hypothetically, if someone told you they wanted to know if something happened, and you knew they’d kill you if you didn’t tell them. but you know it’s better that they don’t know, does that make you a jerk for not telling them?”

“ doesn’t make you a jerk, but you should PROBABLY just rip the band-aid off and tell them. protecting their feelings isn’t going to do shit for you in the end. ”

           “i’m sorry, sorry…” she muttered looking when the girl bumped into someone “i was a bit distracted” the girl apologized not watching who that person was still.

snarky remark on the tip of her tongue, rosita turns to the person that has bumped into her, fully prepared to bitch them out. --- but she softens once her dark eyes land on ENID. they’re not close, but rosita’s familiar enough with the younger girl. “ it’s fine. you’re fine. don’t worry about it. ”
