A Beautiful Disater

A slight chuckle slips the mans lips at hearing the other’s words. ‘ Well the lord did ‘ave some doin’ with this. ‘ Ezra crosses his arms as if that’ll keep some dignity but in all honesty he lost that long ago. ‘ An entrance many would enjoy. ‘

Charlotte found it hard not to scoff in response. “ God like you need another reason to be cocky as hell. “ she pointed out. “ Only those who don’t have taste. “ she shot back. 

To say Charlotte wasn’t nervous was a lie. She had never gone on a date before and she had honestly no idea what to expect. However, she did hope for the best. She wore a simple black dress and her hair was put up in a sleek ponytail. Now all she had left to do was wait for him to arrive. She nervously played with the end of her skirt before glancing up at the clock that had read the time. It wasn’t long after that she had heard a knock on her door. and got up from her spot to answer it. Just as she had expected she was met with a familiar face behind the door.  “ Well hey there, stranger. “ she teased with a smile. 

Kieran was a bit surprised that Charlotte was so quick to brush off what other people may think or want when it comes to expectations of them, but it made him more happy than it probably should. “You’re right there, we shouldn’t have to worry about what anyone says. My father, your mother, it’s not going to change anything.” He said firmly. “Perhaps we can make the most of this to start with by you perhaps going on a date with me? I want to be normal, well not… normal – but more carefree and do what I actually want. So please, honor me with a date?”

The request took her by surprise at first, in a good way of course. Her lashes batted in surprise before a smile graced her lips. She nodded and kissed his lips again softly. “ Of course. “ she replied with a grin. “ I haven’t gone on a date before. “ she admitted, although she had a feeling he knew that already.

“I was being quite serious though I see it may not be welcomed here.”

Kieran nodded his head in agreement, knowing very well his father would have the same bewilderment if he knew what he was doing. “I think that just makes this all the more exciting, doesn’t it?” He teased, a soft chuckle escaping him before he stroked her hair in a gentle manner. “I think my father wants me to be as lonely as he is for the rest of eternity, but I don’t want that. I want to share it with someone special.”

Charlotte parted from his arms briefly, her eyes glancing straight up into his. “Well, to hell what they think then.” she said quickly. “We don’t have to be like them, just cause they want us to.” she rested her head against him again. “I get what you mean. “ she hummed out with a slight smile.

“You too!”  Adelia stood up from her chair with a smile.  “A little over a month ago!  How long have you been here?”

“I’m not really sure, I’ve stopped keeping track.” she admitted with a shrug. “This place is really.. different.” she pointed out.
