There is one song that is guaranteed to make me cry every single time, and that is The Green Fields of France by The Corries (not the original, but this one gets me). It's a Scottish song about WW1 and the first time I heard it I was on a trip with my school to Ypres and the French memorials in 2018, a hundred years since it ended.
Here are just a few of the gut wrenching lines:

I just had a dream that Oscar Piastri owned a bakery. He was still an F1 driver, he just also happened to own a bakery, and he would occasionally serve customers (for some reason he was in the McLaren hat and his fire proofs? Not the actual race suit but the tight layer underneath - essentially how he looks in post race interviews). And that's it. It's not even like I dreamt that I was there. It was just him in a bakery.

I found it on YouTube shorts and now I'm obsessed.
I've come to the realisation that I watched loads of Australian kids shows growing up. Like, more than I was consciously aware of as someone from Scotland. To start with, Nowhere Boys. This show had me hooked, I absolutely do not remember how it ends but I remember the show in general being good. Going way way back we have the Sleepover Club and the Saddle Club. I very vividly remember the scene on a little boat where Lyndsey is afraid of bats. Why I remember this? Not a clue.
Anyway lots of great shows from Australia (I also liked the ones here in the UK. M.I.High, the Sparticle Mystery and Young Dracula as examples).
The only real show I have much of an issue with now is Life With Derek. Let me just say, I watched the whole thing. I thought it was pretty weird as a kid, but I was like 7/8 or so and didn't really understand. I understand now though and do not like the fact we were supposed to just accept that these two step siblings would argue and then just have flirty moments and it be okay. Like wtf? Their parents were actively trying to get them to be a family and they were out here like "hmm maybe I wanna kiss him" WHAT.

Hey can you guys reblog Cheeseburger so he can take a sunbeam nap on lots of blogs. No other reason I just want you guys to see him.
So, Cheeseburger died on November 21st after an unfairly short battle with an unfairly rare cancer that is rarely seen in cats. I only got to spend a month with him after his diagnosis, and losing him has been the greatest heartbreak of my entire life so far. He was my best friend and my soul cat, and he was there for me when I was completely alone, for twelve long years.
I made this transparent PNG the night he died in preparation for one of the many ways I was going to memorialize him--a surface rug in his likeness that I planned on laying directly in the line of his favourite sunbeam. And I uploaded that PNG here, because this is the website where people post their cats.
I was not expecting the reception I got. Many people have pointed out that this post has more reblogs than likes, and how insane that is in 2025 when reblog culture is at an all time low. I didn't even talk about the fact that Burger passed away in the original post, it wasn't a tearjerker reblog bait or anything like that. People just loved Burger that much, in the same way I fell in love with him at first sight. He was such an ugly kitten.
Anyways, it's really special to me that so many people have reblogged my best friend. I made this PNG to memorialize him in a completely different way, and you all wound up doing just that in ways I never even imagined.

Being Scottish and hearing all the Scottish accents in F1 makes my brain jolt every time. I'm so used to hearing American or English accents that my brain decides it needs to go *ACCENT DETECTED* every single time. Especially the race engineer for the second red bull seat
I'm a JackSucksAtLife and Zi8gzag fan and also a McLaren F1 fan. Which means that I support 2 British and Australian duos, and both Australians happen to be named Oscar
