got to talk to an oldhead sound guy at work today who worked on the warped tour for like 15 years through the 2000s and not only was he super cool but he told me some excellent anecdotes about the 2000s warped tour acts. chad from newfound glory is a total idiot (expected), josh from motion city soundtrack is a huge douche (surprising!), and travie mccoy mid-song straight up dropped a dude who called him the n-word and went right back to performing (hell yeah)

he mixed katy perry’s warped tour run in 2008 and said her bus had a huge wrap of her face on it and he would wake up and walk off the bus every morning greeted by katy perry’s giant head

my chemical romance were not his favorite band by any stretch but he said they were the nicest band he’s ever met even though their singer was a huge kook who should not have been that drunk that early in the morning (his words)
