Upper-Beginner / Lesson 13: -ใด/์ ์ฑ๋ก
์๋ ํ์ธ์ ์ฌ๋ฌ๋ถ! Today I have a useful grammar point:ย -ใด/์ ์ฑ๋ก. Letโs start!
What isย -ใด/์ ์ฑ๋ก?
-ใด/์ ์ฑ๋ก is useful for describing the state that something is in. Letโs look at a formula:
[verb stem] + ใด/์ ์ฑ๋ก
Attachย -ใด ์ฑ๋ก to stems ending in a vowel.
Attachย -์ ์ฑ๋ก to stems ending in a consonant.
For example, letโs look at this sentence from Naver Dictionary:
์ฑ ์์ ์ ๊ทธ์ง ์์ ์ฑ๋ก ๋์ง ๋ง์๋ผ. = Donโt leave your desk unlocked.
Here, the speaker is talking about leaving the desk in the state of unlocked. Thus,ย ์ ๊ทธ์ง ์์ ์ฑ๋ก can be used to describe the unlocked state of the desk. Letโs see some more examples!
์ ๋ฐ์ ์ ์ ์ฑ๋ก ์์ํ์ด์. = I swam with my shoes on.
์ ๋ฐ์ ์ ์ ์ฑ๋ก describes what state you were in while you were swimming โ with your shoes on.
์ด์ดํฐ์ ์ด ์ฑ๋ก ์ ์ด ๋ค์์ด์. = I fell asleep with my headphones in.
๋ถ์ ์ผ๋ ์ฑ๋ก ์ง์ ๋ ๋ฌ์ด์. = I left the house with the lights on.
๋๋ฌด ๋์ฐ๋๊น ์ฐฝ๋ฌธ ์ด๋ฆฐ ์ฑ๋ก ์ด์ ํ์ธ์. = Itโs really hot, so drive with the windows open.
Thatโs about it for this lesson โ I hope it was helpful! See you in the next one! ํ์ดํ !ย
