“i don’t even know!” they laughed loudly. “to this day i still don’t think any of us really know how you did it. maybe you have superpowers! like ant-man! you can control them or something!” riley’s amusement faded slightly at the look that crossed dot’s face and way she talked about her sister. “hey atta.. atta’s not too bad!” or at least from what riley remembered of their brief interactions with the eldest diller daughter she had seemed nice enough.

“i must have really been pissed at my mom.” dot snorted in laughter at the idea that she was like ant-man. “i get it. i’m short. doesn’t mean im actually ant man.” although he was a pretty cool hero. mainly for his humor. everything else about him was sort of lame. “yeah to others. she’s perfect. and thats the problem. because of her, i look like a fucking mess constantly. the standards for how i was meant to behave were so high that i couldn’t ever just be. not to mention, she doesn’t give a shit about getting to know who i am as a person. its dot don’t do that and dot don’t do this.” dot sighed, “growing up i didn’t even care that she was perfect. i just wanted her to notice me. i don’t know, actually be a sister to me. instead its like i dont exist.” dot blushed faintly as she realized just how much she was opening up to them and put on a different, stronger face. “how about you? how have you been since the dance?”

Nicholas looked up at the woman with a confused expression on his face. “Huh?” He asked curiously, not understanding why she said bless you. “I’m fine, thanks.” He hummed, taking her hand, while using his other to help get him to his feet, not wanting to worry about pulling her down with him. “Just lost my footing, I guess.”

“are you sure?” dot asked. her eyebrows knit together as she helped him to his feet. “you’re going easy on me.” she countered when she noticed that he wasn’t really using her for help at all. “then again, maybe you have to. how tall are you anyway? you’re huge!” dot realized that this was the sort of brashness that had been getting her in trouble with her mother lately and paused. “sorry. you’re just tall. not like fat huge. in my defense, everyone is huge to me. i’m 5′1″ and could still fit in the juniors section if i wanted to.” she sighed, “but, seriously, you good? need help walking around to wherever you’re headed? i always did regret never earning that helping the elderly badge when i was younger.”

“ no.. ” angelica says with a shrug. “ but it’s whatever. i’m over it. ” she assures her friend with a smile. “ i don’t need to be hung up on anyone who doesn’t want me. i deserve better than that. ”

dot examined angelica and began slowly shaking her head, “no you’re not.” she knew that look. in fact, she’d donned it before herself which was why she couldn’t let angelica lie to herself. “but, you’re right. you do deserve better than that.” dot sighed, “sorry i wasn’t much help then. i really thought it’d turn things around.” the girl sat back, “feelings suck.”

Wendy rubbed the back of her neck. She didn’t know she was being tested. Or she wasn’t but….still. “I don’t let people push me around,” she argued. “In fact, I’m normally told that I push people around.” She bossed her brothers around. And sometimes people who needed motherly guidance…but that was just guidance. “Anyways, I was gonna put on an extra set of gloves….But you’re right. We should get the guys to get it.”

“alright, i’m sorry. feisty pants.” dot held her hands up in surrender and tried her hardest not to laugh at how cute a demanding wendy was. this girl could break hearts if only she knew her power. tossing her hair back, dot examined the condom. “disgusting. and, yet... impressive. someones getting more action in this neck of the woods than i am. lucky bastard.” she looked up at wendy and smirked, “come on. shifts probably over by now. and, if not, i still am craving a milkshake. you in?”
