    “ — so, i see the hijacking thing started early. ”

   “ what do you mean, love? i was sent an invite weeks ago. my father’s the owner of a large internet start up, he was too busy to attend so he sent me in his place. “

Tony flashes her a charming smile, ducking to move their faces closer. “ I’ve never danced with a girl so pretty before, it’s making it hard to be a grump, “ his voice is a soft whisper as he goes back to humming the song. 

    colin is calm; colin is chill.  he’s definitely not feeling super out of place and a little twitchy about it.  he’s kind of bad around strangers, and about ninety percent of the people here are total strangers.  fiddling with the edge of his sleeve, he manages to give a slight smile.  “ wow – there’s a lot of people here tonight, huh? ”

“ i can always drive you home if you need. “ tony automatically says, hand instinctively reaching out to settle on his brother’s wrist to stop the fiddling. he can sense the discomfort and isn’t surprised, part of him wants to hit the Boyfriend for even thinking it was fine to ditch Colin. 

“ —-YOU know. for an a-grade party as the papers are promoting, setting the booze aside, this is pretty darn DULL, wouldn’t you say ?? ”

“ I’m afraid I must agree. Who would’ve guessed the rich are lightweights? “

   nico quirks a brow when tony comes closer, but his expression changes when he hears the words in his own voice.  his lip curls in a sneer, but he leans a little closer to stare tony down.    “ aw, baby.  you’ve fantasized so much you’ve even got the sound down.  little desperate, but it’s flattering. ”  he puts his finger under tony’s chin, gently turning his head to the side.  when he leans up to murmur in his ear, it’s with a little lilt.  the suggestion of a song, a reminder of what he can do.  “ you couldn’t handle me.  so run along, handsome. ”

tony feels the power moving over him as nico’s lips get closer to his ear, his breath warm against the skin. there’s this pull in the pit of his stomach, different from the normal attraction he feels towards the man and he knows that it’s that fucking siren song making him want to do anything nico says, his mind slips to the training he’s been working on resisting and it physically exhausts him to not take off running but instead reach and slam the hammer into the brick wall next to their heads. “ don’t, nico. “

    “ um, but — you know, i actually kind of like this wall where it is.  so maybe just not knock it down?  it’d kind of ruin the building’s whole integrity if you blew out a wall. ”  real persuasive, colin.  “ not to mention the real estate value. ”

“ that’s the point, colin. we’re just trying to take down the whole building, “ tony sighs, setting down the hammer. “ you said you wanted to do a round with me tonight. “

  just to be a pain in the ass, nico leans back against the wall, kicking a foot up behind him and lounging casually.  “ anyone ever tell you that you’re no fun, tony? ”

tony steps closer, into nico’s personal space with a small grin. “ tony, you’re so fun. i’ve never came so fast-” he mimics in nico’s own voice, adding in a moan.
