first few days

ok so, classes are going great except for a certain math teacher who really shouldn't be a math teacher. he's making us not use calculators at all, type up our homework that's due every week, and then there's a pop quiz every week. he wants us to use this database called WolframAlpha but it looks like a joke anyway. I think I'm going to end up dropping his class because he is out of his mind if he thinks that I'm shelling out my life just for a requirement. unfortunately I would need to take this class in another semester because I don't know if I'll be able to get into this one math class that I want so badly. he seems like a pretty cool teacher and he understands that not all students want to take these math classes. I also have a gpa to maintain because in order for me to be a part of the BA/MA program here, I need a 3.5 gpa for my art history classes alone, and a 3.2 gpa for the rest of my classes. it's absolutely absurd and I'm not making myself crazier than is needed. Hopefully all will fall into place and I'll be fine!

Hey all! My name's Dana and I just started my first semester at American University as an Art History Major today! Art basically defines my life but I'm more than just art. I watch and play sports like a dude, I like to dress feminine and preppy, I listen to music from hard rock to horrible music you hear repeatedly on the radio.
