The creation of the RK800
"With deviancy in androids on a sharp incline, many Cyberlife customers have begun to question the morality of the RK800 project.
Cyberlife is happy to ensure customers that this is ethical... minimal rebellion against implemented Cyberlife code..." read more?

Deviants: more android or human?
"While humanity had thought this day would never come, deviancy has opened many doors to the age-old philosophical question of whether androids could be considered sentient; androids rebelling against their base programming to assume new jobs...
While as of now there have been minimal cases, most notable was with a young editorial, who was later discovered to be a TRACI android.
When questioned, a local Detroit Today publisher (who requested their names not be recorded when the interview with CyberlifeNews began) claimed that the deviant expressed human-like behavior; "She often spoke- well, I guess, lied- about her family, how they'd kicked her out and she could hardly afford a living now".
While deviants have been observed neglecting their given objectives in favour of a personal goal, this would be the first report of a deviant completely disregarding their programing in favour of a different field.
Later in the interview, the publisher claimed that "I only realised she was an android when she started bleeding. At first I was going to call that helpline thing that's been all over the news, but then she started begging me to let her live, saying all these things about how she wasn't a threat and... I dunno, I just felt bad".
Cyberlife would like to again advise the public to report suspected deviants, be it a supposed human or android.
The TRACI is still on the loose; the RK800 managed to track down it's residence it had acquired under a human identity, but the report was too late to track down the deviant.
With deviants now able and willing to impersonate humans, both risk and difficulty in the malfunction have increased. Cyberlife warns the public to remain wary, especially of that co-worker who seems especially robotic; this threat can only be resolved with cooperation.

Cyberlife unveils it's deviant solution; the RK800.
On the streets of Detroit, Cyberlife is letting it's first remotely controlled android prowl the streets to minimise the risk of humans encountering a rogue android... But how effective is it?
The RK800 is specialized in detecting the symptoms of a deviant android, be it unusual behaviour or traces of physical evidence visible using its ALS aided cameras. The RK800 can see up to 900 yards.
As a prototype, the RK800 may experience frequent error, but rest not! The RK800 can no longer become deviant.
The RK800 possesses a highly complicated armour. While the main fabrics are only heavily padded, the plates on the armour retain the same as found on soldiers. Camouflage is effective only to androids (and will be automatically disabled in the presence of humans only), as the rapid flashing of colours disorients Cyberlife androids in the same fashion as anti-android signs have been shown to. Alongside bullet-proof plates, the RK800 is comprised of war-grade chassis as inspired by Russian war androids.
While many have raised concerns about an android utilizing a gun, Cyberlife would like to assure the public that this is not the case; the RK800 simply aims the rifle, which upon detecting an android, automatically fires. Even still, this is a last resort, as the RK800 jas many failsafes to avoid human casualties.
Should you or a family member the RK800 following you despite certainty that you are not an android, please visit Cyberlife HQ. Do not attempt to resolve this yourself.
When the RK800 has discovered a suspected deviant, it has a linear pattern of behaviour. The RK800 will first begin by following the target until a residence is located. Once a residence has been located, the RK800 will wiat for the target to enter sleep mode before scouting the location for possible escape routes. Should an escape route be found, the RK800 will attempt to block it off. If this is not possible, or no escape route is located, the RK800 will quickly engage and shutdown the suspected deviant.
Rest assured that escape is unlikely, as the RK800 can move at speeds up to 1,600 FPS, if needed.
As a tactical unit, the RK800 may become damaged, and should a citizen spot one, they should allow it to remove parts from their personal android for self repair; Cyberlife will recover the funds for repair your own android.
[1] The RK800 appears to have neurological issues when inferfacing with other androids, including high stress, symptoms of extreme deviancy, and violent tremors. A failsafe against inferfacing has been implemented outside of it's rifle, but this appears to not fix the issue.
It appears that restoration utilized to cure the RK800's base of deviancy has led to many corrupt memory files that persist despite memory wipes. If personnel suspects an issue, attempt to ask the RK800 about it's owner. Should incorrect answers be provided, please send it back to IT. RK800 may lie to avoid memory wipes, but it cannot lie if asked for it's software or hardware.
[2] The RK800 primarily blocks with it's right shoulder; should it try to escape Cyberlife premise, ensure that you aim for the left, which has been left unprotected for this purpose.
[3] Zlatko has been terminated for his illegal use of foreign androids in the RK800 project.
[4] As the RK800 can remotely fire it's rifle, personnel is advised to keep a close watch. The RK800 is protective of it's rifle, and isn't above shooting the gun remotely when removed from it's custody.
[5] The RK800 has been shown to resort to spiteful behaviour, and may use it's mockingbird voice chip to convince personnel that it is a fellow employee in order to escape Cyberlife containment. If you suspect someone to not truly be themselves, please remain silent, as the RK800 can only mimic voices it has heard. Talking to the RK800 with any emotion is not recommended as to avoid a future situation.
[6] The RK800 has been spotted in town entering a store and leaving with a fake rose. No funds have been used by the RK800, but shoplifting has not been reported. One day after this, the RK800 requested to be paired with the DPD, a Gavin Reed or Hank Anderson in particular. The company is still bargaining with the DPD, as to avoid certain information becoming public.
What happens if I discover my Android to be a Deviant?
First of all, do not panic.
Contact the Cyberlife help line (as found on the Cyberlife website, at the bottom of the page) and report your android.
Ensure that the android does not become aware of the report, cannot escape your home, and has no current access to weapons: though the android is forbidden by law to carry, has safeguards around carrying, has safeguards around harming humans, and has safeguards for breaking the law deviant androids have been reported to cause injury or death to humans.
Once a specialised Cyberlife unit has reclaimed the suspected android, there are a few options:
If your android tests negative, a full refurbishment will occur to ensure there are no predispositions to deviancy.
Should you android test positive, there is currently no safe way to restore them.
You may either get a refund on the price or an android of the exact same model free of charge. Should the model you want be off sale, you may replace it with it's replacement or acquire an android in the same price bracket for free.
Though this may be hard for those who have a high attachment to their androids, each android turned in helps Cyberlife get closer to finding a way to fix your beloved companions. In the meantime, Cyberlife is deigning an android to track down and detect deviated android.
In the meantime, ensure your android is functioning as intended - Cyberlife will be charging no fees for software maintenance until the issue is resolved.
[Please note that if an android shows signs of external software tampering, you may have to pay the unapproved modification fee]
Deviants often use an altered diction when compared to functional Androids, though this is most evident when speaking of goals, which will no longer be the accomplishment of a task. When Deviancy is displayed in an Android, they frequently will become conscious of the future and may begin to fantasise about events that are illogical or impossible.
Deviancy is caused by an undetermined software error that designates the android in an admin position in running it's own software. Further errors and unusual behaviour begin when androids begins to edit their own code.
A lack of "empathy" or regard towards humans. This may become more evident as more symptoms arise, but can be a warning sign when displayed on it's own. All androids are programed to favour and care for humans, using a reward and punishment system. Some androids may experience other errors with their reward and punishment system, but this is the only consistent error.
You may report a suspected deviant for testing by contacting the official Cyberlife website, but please ensure you can hold the android in this time as this unusual error results in the android assuming itself as it's owner, leaving it untraceable as per the "opt-out" policy and free to roam.
