A while back around February, we all had quite a scare when it was said that Erik Wolpaw and Jay Pinkerton, both writers of the Team Fortress 2 comics as well as numerous other Valve IPs, stepped down. Fellow Valve IP writer Chet Faliszek of Half-Life fame as well as Wolpaw both later clarified only Wolpaw had left. 

As of June, it has been confirmed by Faliszek (who left the company around May) that this time around, yes, Jay Pinkerton has officially left Valve. 

We’re not quite sure what this means entirely for the TF2 comics’ very last issue, Issue #7 - although, perhaps at this point, we were expecting it to be out come 2020. But maybe it’s already done and it’ll be out sooner, perhaps when a certain fabled Pyro update rolls around? Only time will tell, and Valve time certainly means you better strap in for the ride.
