Minor Casting Spoiler for Yeralti Season 2
Under the cut in case anyone wants to go into the new season completely blind, but I thought this was interesting and wanted to discuss what it could mean:

Are you okay? I'm fine. We were just sitting there with Sultan.
YERALTI (2026–)
H. Ali: I'm going to make a deal. I'll tell him I'm going to kill Bozo. Bozo: I don't even like the joke of betrayal… but how are you going to make him believe you'll kill me? H. Ali: I'll say I'm going to kill you and take over the family, Bozo. Why are you staring at me all weird? If I kill you and take over, won't Efraim become my shadow? He will. Ferhat, Merdan, Paşa… won't they all submit to me? They will. I'll tell them I'm going to kill you and take over the family.
Bozo: Your plan is good… but if you can't convince the guy… you'll end up dead, and I'll be left stranded wondering what to tell Sultan. H. Ali: My plan only goes this far. Where, how, and in what way it will happen—you'll figure that out. You tell me where I would kill a man like you to take over everything.
The way I screamed!
Melek: Then we only have one option left for our survival. Bozo has to die. I'm not saying this for you to do it. You know how we keep asking what will happen if everything comes to light one day? Well, if Bozkurt is still alive that day, it's clear that we are the ones who will die.
Kartal: I'm going to make you an offer. Kill Bozo. Take Ceylan, take your sister, and go wherever you want. Under my protection. Because when Bozo finds out about all this, he is going to kill you all. Or, you are going to kill Bozo.
When all these scenes come together, I realized that I actually want a plot like this to be written. I mean, wouldn't it be amazing if H. Ali chose the dark side? On his own accord, that is. The threat added another dimension to the story, but what if Kartal's threat never existed and H. Ali found the only solution in killing Bozo entirely on his own? But they wouldn't write something like this for the leading man. Because they are afraid of the audience's reaction. He can stay in a gray area, but he can't choose the dark side.
Maybe this is the surprise they have prepared for the season finale. H. Ali targets Bozo, but we don't get to find out whether it is real or just a setup. This could have been an interesting season finale.
I liked this episode. This show progresses through three tracks. First is the main plot I mentioned above, built on betrayal and secrets. Who is whose man, who is the inside man, etc. Second is the mafia's daily enemies and the story flowing through them. Third is the banter within the mafia family, love stories, and family bonds. It gives the show room to breathe. I like this abundance of subplots, it keeps me from getting bored. The only thing I dislike is the whole storyline of who H. Ali slept with or who he will marry. That's why I wish I could just fast-forward through the Sultan, H. Ali, and Ceylan romantic/dramatic scenes. They write that part really poorly.

Episode 13
This has to be the most inconsistently written show I've ever watched. The swing between last week's episode and this one was wild. Anyway, they just keep pulling me back in right when I think I'm about to throw in the towel:

sigh.
Not putting this is in the tags, because it's mainly a disjointed rant, and who really needs that?
