Gets annoyed with you every second and with all his eye rolling he might just roll it to the back of his head one day.

He doesn’t understand how he’s stuck babysitting a rookie, better yet a rookie that reminds him of Soap.

You accompany him…or more or less, follow him wherever he goes. Whether it’s on base or on the battlefield.

You cheer him on whenever you watch him spar with anyone. Even if he’s losing, you’ll still cheer him on.

“Do you think I’ll ever be as good as you, Sir?“ “Nope.”

You copy everything he does, how he dresses, acts and even how he sips his tea.

24/7 asking for a face reveal, Ghost tells you every time to “Go fuck yourself.” And you always reply, “Gladly.”

You’re convinced his mask is made of an actual skull. He will neither deny nor confirm it.

As much as you annoy him, he’s still your mentor and corrects you all the time. He trains you by hand and monitors your progress.

Will actually praise you if you do well or have improved. Is surprisingly patient with you and guides you through training with tough love.

He’s only nice during training though, on the battlefield he’ll cuss you out if you so much as aim a gun at him. “Watch. Your. Bloody. Aim.”

You genuinely look up to Ghost and admire everything he does. You once told him you’d take a bullet for him any day. He didn’t take you seriously and brushed it off as it was just a thing rookie’s said to their superiors. Until you actually jumped in front of him and got 2 bullets to the stomach and 3 in your leg. “Lieutenant…I told you that I would protect you with my very life.”

After that day he never wanted to go on another mission with you. Actually put you on probation for 5 months and told you to quit the army.

You’re resilient so you bounced back in 2 and a half months and restarted the process of impressing your mentor all over again.

You’ve once cried over Ghost when you found out bits and pieces about his past and made it your soul mission to bring happiness into his life.

Ghost just doesn’t want to get attached to anyone that could be a liability. He’ll tell you this and you’d still come back running to him. You’ll push yourself above and beyond to not only impress your Lieutenant, but to one day hear those words, “I’m proud of you”

You’ve once called him by his actual name by accident and apologised over and over again. He forgave you because he didn’t understand why you were overreacting over making such a small mistake.

Never allows you in the room he’s torturing someone in. When 141 is in a room all together, depending on what they’re discussing, he’ll tell you to go visit the German Shepherds or to sit quietly in the corner.

You’ve spoken out of term once during a briefing and Ghost personally escorted you out. He corrects bad behaviour with scolding. Never once has he laid his hands on any of the rookies out of anger.

Sticks up for you in a heartbeat.

Tells you to never become like him, he actually wants you to become better but will never tell you this part.

Price

Just run for you life, leave the military, change your name and live in Antarctica.

This man has zero tolerance when it comes to insubordination. Will knock on your door softly and ask you to meet him in his office.

“I’d like to ask about today’s field mission. The one your Sergeant was in charge of.”

Starts off calm, too calm, creepily calm. All the while he has this smile on his face. This calm smile.

Asks you for a very detailed explanation and can stop you at any time to ask, “So what did you do?”

He’ll take a breather, inhaling sharply. Maybe lighting a cigar to calm down before he slams his hand on his desk.

The yelling will begin while Price fights the urge to smack the shit out of you.

“Look at me when I’m talking to you, Private. Did you or did you not go against direct orders?” “Sir, please-“ “I ASKED A QUESTION. I EXPECT AN ANSWER.”

Might have to fight back tears and an trembling lip if you’re a crier. You better not cry.

He’ll do that parent thing. “Can you tell what the orders were? Okay….So why did you go against them? … Well, what have we learnt today, Private? …Yes that’s very good and what will you do next time this happens?….Excellent.”

Might come off as condescending if he’s really pissed.

If it’s your first offence he’ll let you off with a light slap on the wrist by making you write lines ‘I will never disobey my superiors again’ type of energy and expect to write a 1000 worded apology note to your Sergeant.

If it’s your second offence, be prepared for physical labour. You’re on clean up duty for 5 months.

There is no third offence. Never.

Price’s anger only lasts 2 weeks, he forgives and forgets. Will treat you normally how he would any other day. Just never let it happen again.

“If this occurs once more then I will break your goddamn teeth so you won’t have a fucking cheek with your superiors anymore. Do I make myself clear, Muppet?” “Crystal clear, Sir.”

Ghost

*Stare intensifies*

Will lean on the wall during practice, watch you until you notice him, points to you and then uses his thumb to point at the door, “Outside. Now.”

You probably got snitched on by your superior, they could’ve snitched to anyone but thanks to your dumb luck they snitched on you to Ghost. Fucking tattletale.

Asked for your explanation first, he usually takes the sides of the rookies first. He knows that higher ups can take advantage of the newbies and lower rankings.

You really try to leave out details, “And then the car exploded.” “How did it explode?” “I’m not sure, Sir, but it exploded somehow. It could’ve been the Russians…?” “Private, your mission was in Japan. There were no Russians.”

You may or may not have said a couple of other things to your Sergeant before and after the mission…and yesterday…and a second ago before you were training.

You try to play innocent and pretend this is your first offence because truth be told you where petrified of Ghost and the skull mask didn’t make things better for you.

Depending on Ghost’s mood he might just be understanding and say he use to behave the same when he was a rookie, “Wait, you also punched your Sergeant in the face?” “You punched your Sergeant in the face?”

Will reprimand you, not as bad as Price will but enough to make sure this never happens again.

If he yelled at you, you may or may not cry. Don’t cry in front of Ghost either. He doesn’t like crying children, especially crying rookies. Might actually give you something to cry about.

He’ll make sure your Sergeant keeps tabs on your behaviour and if you so much as act up in the slightest, you’re getting snitched on again.

Ghost puts you in your place by doing that parent finger pointing thing every time he catches you lacking.

“You’re on thin ice with me.”

Soap

“Did you really say that to him?“ “Yes, Sir.” “It’s okay I would’ve done it too.”

100% supportive, he’s number 1 when it comes to insubordination.

Is playful with his scolding, practically puts on a show to make whoever you insulted feel better, “I’ll make you wash the windows of the jet with a spatula. Now behave, okay? Go touch some grass.”

Like Ghost, he takes the sides of the rookies and lower ranks first. He’s had his fair share of abuse of power when he was young.

Commits insubordination against Ghost religiously.

If your insubordination got others hurt he’ll be tough on you. But other than that he honestly doesn’t care.

He sees a lot of himself in you.

If he does yell at you you’d stare at him blankly, “Speak English, Soap.”

If it’s insubordination to him he’ll be salty about it. Asks Ghost to deal with you.

Soap wouldn’t mind getting back at your Sergeant if the offence was justified, both of you would scheme about it. In the end you both simply douse the Sergeant in syrup and leaves.

“We make a pretty good team. Let’s do this more often.”

Gaz

Let’s it slide. He’s committed a shit load of insubordination offences against Price and somehow gets away with it.

Probably gets into trouble because he didn’t correct your behaviour.

“Alright, Solider. There’s a time and place for everything…now is not the time nor place.” He speaks to you like an older brother would.

Is actually calm when he speaks and remains calm until the very end unlike Price. Very good at deescalating situations and talking people down.

Has to now convince your Sergeant not to murder you in cold blood.

“I’m going to need you to explain what happened with you and your Sergeant last week.” “Wouldn’t you like to know, Weather boy.”

You might just make him throw hands.

Don’t worry though, he’ll make the next two weeks hell for you and if that doesn’t solve your attitude problem then expect to repeat the entire training process to become an SAS solider again.

Gaz will respectfully put you back into place.

Price

Disappointment but not surprised, how hard was it to stay put and don’t get kidnapped?

Made an entire rescue mission just to get you back.

Was the first face you saw when he came to your aid.

“I’ve got you Son.” Reassured you that you were alright and in safe hands.

“I’m sorry Sir, I told them about the team’s whereabouts…” could care less that you gave them information, more about the fact you were tortured for it.

Shines a flashlight in your eyes and tells you to follow it just to make sure you’re still functioning.

Is angry but not at you, likely at himself for allowing one of his own to be taken.

Will offer to carry you on his back if you can’t walk.

Patches up your wounds by himself, warns you in advance when disinfecting the wounds, “This is going to hurt like a bitch so suck it up.”

10/10, give this man father of the year. Don’t expect candy from this man, he will offer you a cigar though.

You’re on probation. Don’t even try change Price’s mind. He’ll just give you a pat on the back and apologise, “It’s for your own good, Kid.”

Checks up on your mental state daily and recommends you a military councillor.

Ghost

Knight in military uniform.

Sneaks into the warehouse you’re being held captive in.

Stealthy asf, no one ever sees this man coming and if they do then it’s already too late.

Jumpscare.

If he isn’t opening fire then he’s probably throwing knives into necks.

Throws you over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes if you’re injured, doesn’t matter what injury, he’s just not patient.

Stabs adrenaline into you to keep you alive.

“You breathing, Soldier?” Gently slaps your face to keep you awake.

Will undress you from your uniform without second thought to patch up a wound so you don’t bleed out.

Sits next to you on the plane ride back to monitor your state. If you were unconscious when he found you then he’d allow you to lay on his shoulder but if you’re conscious he’ll make sure you stay that away until you’ve received medical attention.

If you’re the former then he’s probably not the best face to wake up to.

“Holy shit, am I dead?” “You nearly were.” “Because I’m seeing a Ghost.” “I still don’t find you funny.”

He definitely killed everyone in that warehouse for harming one of his own but will never admit that to you and simply just tells you, “Everything is taken care of, Kid. Go rest up.”

Puts you on probation and during that probation he’ll teach you some moves so that he doesn’t have to save you again.

Soap

*Panicked Scottish noises*

Radios you over and over to try get your location, when he finds out you’ve been taken he goes into Captain Mactavish mode.

Doesn’t really make a plan, runs straight into danger. Definitely blows something up just to live up to the demolition expert title.

Would quite literally NOT tackle someone out of a window onto a car but simply will throw them out of one. That Captain Mactavish mode has its limits.

Rushes to your side and cuts off your restraints. Cups your face with his gloved hand and tilts your head back and forth to check for any head injuries. You could be staring him dead in his eyes and he’d still check your pulse.

Will fireman carry you if you can’t walk or you’re unconscious.

Clicks his fingers in your face and then asks you how many fingers he’s holding up. You look at him dumbfounded, “5…?” “Fuckin hell you need medical treatment…”

If you’re falling off to sleep then he’ll keep you awake by teaching you some Scottish slang. “So you’re telling me that Elizabeth or Lizzie is slang for…coffin dodger?” “Or old cunt.” “I will be sure to use that more often now.” “Aye but do be careful of who you’re saying it around. You know how Brits get.” “……”

Gets Price to put you on probation even if the injuries aren’t serious. He’s just not taking any chances.

Gaz

“You broken?”

Panic mechanic Gaz.

Acts on his knee jerker responses to which needs Price to hold him back and keep him in check.

Threw tear gas through the vents and came through the roof opening fire. Couple of knives went through eyes, one of them nearly hit you. So much for a rescue mission.

Gaz would probably stare at you if you’re unconscious to see if you’re breathing or not. Gets up real close to your face, “Okay good, you’re still alive.” He was just afraid to be the one to collect your dog tag so he didn’t want to check your pulse.

Doesn’t have enough muscle mass to pick you up so would either drag you out of danger or let you lean on his shoulder.

Gaz is definitely the type to over bandage you, “Can never be to safe than sorry.” You looked mummified after he’s done with you.

Will let you sleep on his lap if he found you unconscious, after every 5 minutes he put a finger below your nose to check if you’re still breathing.

If he found you awake he tries his best to keep you awake, “Hey buddy, keep your eyes open or else you’re going to die.”

Doesn’t sugarcoat, tells you exactly what injuries you have, “I think your knee is dislocated, do you want me to relocate it now?” “Sergeant, please don’t.” Will relocate it anyway.

Tells you about his life story and how he got recruited into 141, “I was born at a very young age.” He really tries to lighten the mood.

Tagging 141 then running away [Headcannon]

Price

“Tag, Captain!! You’re it!!”

As you run away, Price just stares at you, with both disappointment and concern.

His thoughts are, It’s that damn phone again.

Will never entertain your childish behaviour because this is modern warfare not a playground.

However if you tag him and take his bucket hat then he’s suddenly Usain Bolt.

He finna hunt you down.

“You fuckin Muppet, have you lost your bloody mind?!”

Expect to be hit or injured in some way. You’ll be hurt emotionally and physically.

He’s the, ‘I’ll give you something to cry about’ type of parent.

If for some reason he is a parental figure to you, he still won’t entertain your childish behaviour. “Stop it, get some help.”

No matter what he doesn’t give two shits about your dumb game and will simply shake his head trying to figure out when and how he went wrong with you.

Might just pull out a gun or knife on you one of these days, “Tag me again and you’re losing all 5 fingers today.” Please don’t tag him.

Ghost

There is a time and place for everything. I repeat, there is a time and place for everything.

“Tag!! You’re it!!” Simon wouldn’t even react, he would simply watch you run then move on with life.

If Ghost took things personally then Rodolfo would’ve flown through the windscreen for making that mask joke.

Simon would get you back at the worst time, “Lieutenant I’m scared to jump.” You looked down at the cliff, wondering if the water would be able to break your fall. He’d give you that Ghost stare then put a hand on your shoulder and go, “Tag. You’re it.” Before pushing you off.

On a normal basis, just like Price he wouldn’t entertain you nor give you the time of day.

“Lieutenant do you even know what tag is?” You question if this man had a childhood or even had friends. Although he wouldn’t take lightly to the question and just stare to shut you up.

His anger doesn’t show in person so he’ll take it out on you during training, make you run around the base just because he can, “C’mon Soldier, pick up the pace!! I thought you liked running?!!”

Realistically speaking, you actually wouldn’t want to be chased by a 6’4 British man in a skull mask. That’s pure nightmare fuel and would likely give you PTSD for the rest of your life.

Soap

Competitive asf.

“Tag!! You’re it!!” as soon as you run away slowly as a joke you realise Soap actually got up to chase you, “STOP!! I DON’T WANT TO PLAY ANYMORE, SERGEANT!!!!!”

Don’t start something you can’t finish.

Soap is hella competitive and takes the game very seriously, there is no place on this base you could possibly run and hide.

Immobilises you to get a win.

‘It’s just a prank, bro.’ energy

“Let’s spice the game up by tagging each other with grenades.” “Sergeant what the fuck-“ “Okay fine…knives.” “Sergeant please-“

Is likely to start initiating the game to which Price disapproves of and shuts it down immediately.

Might even take the game a step further by doing it one time during a mission to which Ghost slaps you both at the back of your heads.

Never does it again but would offer to play hide and seek or the floor is lava at the base, so long as neither of you are caught.

Switches up real quick when Price or Ghost are around, “Y/N. How old are you?”

John was most likely that one kid in school who took tag too seriously therefore tag is now banned at the base.

Gaz

“Tag you’re—“ “IT!!!”

Gaz was that fast kid in school. He’s the one kid no one was able to tag and is an ankle breaker.

Will climb over tables and cars just to tag you back.

Probably is the type to trip you when you’re walking, so be warned when playing tag, this man will two feet you just to get a victory.

You two annoy the shit out of Price. He becomes a human shield when you two insist on running around him just so the other can avoid getting tagged.

You and Gaz will probably go around tagging the entire base and somehow get everyone involved. All fun and games until someone tags Price or Ghost.

Tag with Gaz becomes the extreme hide and seek. He’d quite literally sit in a tree and wait for you to walk pass so he can jump down and tag you. Unlike Soap, he genuinely does take the game as a joke but wants to win.

You two might even be able to convince Price to make tag a training exercise. With some terms and conditions however.

During missions you’d sneakily still play. Except tag in ghillie suits is not ideal and there’s a small chance of tagging the enemy.

Tag but make it sniping, “Tag, dude with the hat is down.” “Tag, guy with the balaclava is down.” “Tag, macho looking man is down.”

“Shut the actual fuck up, Muppets.”

Price

As soon as he here’s anything but “Captain” or “Price”, you’re good as dead.

Would be a moment of silence before he turns to stare at you directly with a straight face, “What did you just call me, Soldier?”

Will turn to face you with the cigar still in his mouth then take a long drag. The silence is so loud.

His calm yet assertive voice is enough to make a grown man cry.

Respect your elders.

Would definitely death stare you if you did it in front of anyone but if you said it during a mission he’d smack your head then threaten you to keep this off the record.

Expect to be punished, at least 100 push-ups and a scolding should suffice as well as a 2hr lecture about respect then a transition into, “It’s because of that damn phone.”

Does not give two shits if it’s for a TikTok, “You call me Johnathan again and I’ll hang you from a rope.”

In conclusion, don’t fuck around with Price if you’re a Private. You’re asking to get killed, this man doesn’t play around.

However if you knew Price when he was a Lieutenant and was his subordinate, he might just let you off the hook because you’re practically family by now. By default anyone older than him and higher ranked can call him by name.

Even so he’d still be taken back by the fact you’ve said his name so casually. Would only allow you to say it out of work though.

He’s still going to threaten to hang you from a rope regardless.

Ghost

“That’s Lieutenant or Ghost to you, Soldier.”

Angry 6’4 British man.

Say your prayers, homeboy would likely cuss you out and threaten you in his thickest Manchester accent he can conjure up.

Doesn’t need to use intimidation tactics, he is the intimidation tactic.

You’ve heard enough ghost stories about him from your fellow peers. Therefore where you found the balls to call him Simon is beyond you.

Will probably let it slide once but if it happens again he’d either ignore you every time you address him by his name, give you a serious scolding or just stare. Will never get physical with his subordinates or any teammate for that matter unless it’s training.

His stare will 100% make you apologise and refer to him as “Sir” for as long as you are in the military.

Genuinely all this man has to do is stare. His stare speaks louder than words.

He has a major staring problem.

If you two have known each other for years upon years or if you’re higher ranked than him then Simon is fine. Especially if you’re part of 141 or out of work.

Still would stare at you if you call him by name.

Soap

“Only Ghost can call me Johnny.”

Wouldn’t get as upset as Price and Ghost.

Is probably really close and buddy-buddy with his subordinates, especially if he’s the one training them.

Don’t misunderstand and take advantage of his kindness as a ticket to disrespect him. This Scottish hawk will put you in a chokehold if you continuously call him by name.

Likely the type to chase you around base and if not will make you do 50 laps until he thinks you’ve learnt your lesson.

If you’re a sergeant like him, you probably wouldn’t take him seriously, “Oi John, get your ass over here.” “Would it kill you to just call me, Soap?”

You’d make fun of him by calling him different brands of soaps and sometimes your personal favourites “Sergeant Dishwash” or “Sergeant head and shoulders.” Every soap related joke you can think of.

If you’re close with him he doesn’t care, same with out of work but still, don’t call him Johnny. He’d much rather prefer John. Johnny is reserved for Ghost.

Gaz

“Just Gaz will do.”

Total sweetheart but has attitude.

Insults you with his lovely voice and accent, it barely sounds like an insult if he’s not yelling it.

Would reverse uno card by calling you by your name, “Hey Kyle.” “Hi Y/N.”

Gaz is a wild card, depending on his mood, your ranking and how close you two are he might just let it slide, shrug it off or flick you on your forehead.

If he’s salty about you calling him “Kyle” he’ll make an example out of you during training for the other rookies to see. “Today’s lesson, I will be showing you what happens when you address me by anything but Sergeant Gaz.”

Will not go easy on you, your face will kiss the floor. Lesson learnt.

If you two are friends or you’re higher ranked than him then it doesn’t phase him in the slightest.

Pretty chilled and down to earth type of guy. If he gives you respect then he expects the same back.
