Dawn

Hi all!

You can call me Dawn, I’m currently a first year at university studying International Relations and Journalism. Im 23 years old, and began my tiertry education studying environmental science, then graphic design, then after dropping out twice I took a break from study before i found my way to journalism. Ive always been a writer, and write fantasy novels in my spare time as well as read (excessively) fantasy, autobiographies and various forms of fiction. So stay tuned for book reviews as well! I’ll treat this blog as a dairy, but I’ll be sharing study tips, reviews, my interests and my motivations with the World Wide Web. I hope you stay along for the journey! Much love xo

Pre-Week One:

- The first thing a do is create a study guide for each course. It’s usually a 2000 word document detailing what I need to be prepared for the semester, this includes each week’s requirements being organised. Example:

Weekly Topic and Synopsis.

Required and Further readings.

Modules.

Assessment deadlines.

This helps me get more acquainted with the course and implements a memory of what to expect each week.

- The second thing I’ll do is create a new ‘notebook’ in one note for each course, and create weekly ‘chapters’ with the heading being that weeks topic as well as a sub chapter for tutorials and readings. I take notes for each lecture, tutorial (if necessary) and readings to look back on when revising.

The final thing I do is go to campus, and figure out where each of my classes are. My campus is huge so even though I’m in my second semester i still struggle finding where to go!

A last bit of advice, everyone works at their own pace. Just do your best and your results will show!
