UPFN Behind the Scenes - Nose Too Big:
So, it's been a few days since Pickens accidentally turned us into CatDog. Emma and I are still trying to get used to it.
The main issue is trying to stand up, which requires both me and Emma's upper-body strength. Not just to get up, but also to get anywhere (even just for a glass of water).
Emma has been staying with me in my apartment until we get changed back, and she's great company.
However, we have found another problem with this whole CatDog situation.
Our noses (but especially mine) are too big, so it's a bit hard to see certain things, especially with this giant nose in the way.
Also, I know you're all gonna ask it, so yes, we have figured out how to use the toilet.
my Jenny, Tuck, Brad, Shelden, and Vega older designs ^__^
i'm watching mlaatr, still not done, i think i got like 10 more eps (and if i'm being transparent i skipped around eps... i just wanted to see vega...). And i'm absolutely loving the show!!!! i love these characters a lot, didn't like Shelden at first i'm going to be honest, #1 Shelden hater for a bit there. but he chilled out in season two and i started to ship breldon with that too so now i just love him so much.
more about my personal headcanons:
I like this art, nuff said.
Here are some screen caps from yesterday, including both last night's U-Pick Friday Night block (7pm - 10pm), as well as the 2-hour As Told by Ginger mini-marathon that preceded it (5pm - 7pm).
(Currently Listening To: Real Gone by Sheryl Crow (can you guess what one of the guests will be for UPFN's Summer of Music?))
For this week's ChalkZone Jukebox segment, we included the season 2 song "Ha Ha Ho".

(for the record, this isn't real, just pretend that it is)
Here's the song that They Might Be Giants performed last night (June 9, 2006), as part of U-Pick Friday Night's Summer of Music.
I can't wait for you guys to see what the rest of the Summer of Music lineup will look like.
June 9, 2006 (again):
And now, here's your weekly visit from Professor Pickens!
(Davis and Emma are shown minding their own business when Professor Pickens walks into frame)
Pickens: Hello again!
Davis: Professor Pickens?
Emma: What are you doing here? Aren't you also on holiday?
Pickens: Oh, trust me, science never stops for a vacation or holiday! Besides, how could I not show you guys my latest invention?
Davis: Well, alright then, what is it?
Pickens: Okay, you probably since we are in an animated dimension, we have the chance to actually speak to the characters of our very own Nicktoons! After I saw your chat with Katilda last week, I figured out the perfect solution for whenever a character is too busy to show up. The Character Simulator 3000!
Emma: Character simulator?
Pickens: Precisely, all you gotta do is point it at an empty spot on the floor, and an exact copy of a Nicktoon character will appear!
Davis: Ooh, that's kinda cool! You think you could demonstrate?
Pickens: But of course! Let's see, I'll just select "CatDog", press a few buttons... and there we go. Now, you need to give it a few seconds for it to fire. The reasoning is a bit complicated. You see, *leans onto the machine, causing it to point at Davis and Emma* the warmup for-
Davis: Wait, Pickens! Your elbow is-!
Emma (speaking at the same time as Davis): Pickens, no, don't-!
(the camera cuts back to Pickens as a beam of light shines offscreen; Pickens then looks down to see that Davis and Emma have been turned into CatDog (Emma is Cat, Davis is Dog))
Emma: AAAAAAAAAAGGGHHHH!!!!
Davis (speaking at the same time as Emma): SWEET JUMPING PICK BOYS ATTEMPTING TO FLY!!!!
Pickens: Oops, guess I probably shouldn't lean on something that hasn't been fully tested out yet... Um, are you two okay?
Davis: Wh-... Pickens, you turned us into CatDog!! Do we look okay?!
Pickens: Well, not really. I wasn't aware that pointing the machine at someone would cause a side effect like this...
Emma: Oh you- y-yeah, YEAH! You're- Heh, you're so funny! You're so funny, you're funny, you're funny, you're-funny-YOU'RE-FUNNY-YOU'RE-FUNNY-CHANGE-US-BACK-CHANGE-US-BACK-CHANGE-US-BACK-I-CAN'T-FEEL-MY-LEGS!!!
Pickens: Okay! Okay! One second... hm... Uh oh...
Davis: W-What's wrong...?
Pickens: Well uh, it seems that the machine is- is broken.
Davis and Emma: WHAT?!?!
Pickens: Now, now! Both of you calm down! I built the thing, so I can also find out how to fix it!
Davis: Oh, uh- okay- okay, sure... just- just how long will it take...?
Pickens: Um, at least about... a week.
Davis: A week???
Emma: You mean we're stuck like this for an entire week?
Pickens: Not to worry, I'll get started with the repairs right away! *Pickens walks out of frame, bringing the broken machine with him*
Davis: *sigh* Well this is just great...
Pickens: Hold up, almost forgot! *reappears onscreen* This has been Professor Pickens reminding you, science matters! *thumbs up*
*the scene then cuts back to the title card from the start*
==========================
Y'know, I'm starting to realize that me and Emma's acting sounds a bit too realistic. Someone actually called us up earlier to ask if we were okay after how terrified we looked in this segment.
For the record, this was all scripted and planned. The only reason that Emma and I are gonna stay like this for the week ahead is for the illusion of a storyline.
We're also doing this in honor of next week's event. You see, next Friday at 8:30pm (right after the Big Summer Movies premiere of The X's - Truman X: Super Villain), we've got a collection of lost CatDog episodes that have never aired on Nickelodeon before, titled "CatDog: The Lost Episodes".
June 9, 2006 (first show of Summer season):
(the scene fades into a short montage of shots of NYC, with the hosts heading to the studio, set to the 2004 U-Pick theme)
Kid: I'm Stacey from Atlanta. Live from Times Square, in the heart of New York City, it's Friday night on U-Pick Live!
(the scene fades to an opening animation, revealing UPFN's logo, before transitioning to a shot of the loungers cheering excitedly, before fading to Davis and Emma entering through the front of the lounge)
Emma: Welcome back, everyone!
Davis: Hey, what's up? I'm Davis!
Emma: And I'm Emma!
Davis: And it's 7:00, which means it's time for your weekly, 3-hour dose of picks, prizes, and premieres!
Emma: Oh, but this isn't just any normal U-Pick Friday Night show, is it?
Davis: No, it is not! This week marks the start of U-Pick Live's FIRST EVER Summer season!
(loungers cheering)
Emma: *chuckling* Yep, that's right. For the first time ever, U-Pick is continuing throughout the Summer. Now, while me, Davis, and the Cow are still here, we have made a few changes.
Davis: Correct, Emma, we'd like y'all at home to give a warm welcome to our summer crew!
*the camera cuts to the control room, with the crew's summer substitutes waving to the camera*
Davis: There they are!
*camera cuts back to lounge*
Emma: And as for Pick Boy, worry not! He'll still show up to pick a lounger for the Prize Wall Punch. Plus, we'll be checking in each week to see how his summer vacation is going!
Davis: Not to mention! This week also marks the start of two other big things, one of which being the Summer of Music!
Emma: Ooh, yes! All this summer, we've got a whole bunch of bands and artists who'll be performing live on the balcony of U-Pick Central, starting with a special live performance by the one and only They Might Be Giants!!
Davis: Oh, but that's not all. We've also got a little something called Big Summer Movies! Joey, could we get a sidebar, please?
*a sidebar/menu appears onscreen*
Emma: Alright, every Friday night at 8:00pm this summer, we'll be showing a huge array of new specials and movies. And you don't even have to go to the movie theater to watch them!
Davis: Also also, we're starting things off with your Nick.com Pick...
Emma: Followed by a brand new episode of Nicktoons Network's Kaput & Zösky at 7:30pm. And then at 8:00pm, we've got the Big Summer Movies premiere of Danny Phantom: School's Out, Ghouls Out! And then after THAT, we've got two, count 'em TWO, brand new episodes of As Told by Ginger starting at 9:00pm!
Davis: You think we should explain what As Told by Ginger is? Y'know, for anyone who doesn't recognize it?
Emma: Don't worry, we'll handle that later. Plus, we've also got the weekly challenge, where you can decide whether me, Davis, or Cow has to make dirt sandcastles in Times Square.
Davis: But before ALL of that, we need to get things started with the Nick.com Pick.
Emma: That's right, you guys have been voting all week at Nick.com between My Life as a Teenage Robot, Fairly OddParents, and SpongeBob.
Davis: Uncle Plasma, let's get those results!
*the camera pans over to Uncle Plasma and reveals the results*
My Life as a Teenage Robot: 36%
The Fairly OddParents: 28%
SpongeBob SquarePants: 36%
Emma: A tie?
Davis: Wow...! We've got a tie.
Emma: Oh dear...
*wheel is rolled into the lounge*
Davis: Y'know what? I'm actually quite impressed that it's taken this long for the Nick.com Pick to end in a tie. Anyway, you probably know how it works! Anytime there's a tie, we take this wheel, and give it a spin to see who the winner is.
Emma: Would you like to do the honors, Davis?
Davis: Why, yes I would! Here goes nothing...
(Davis starts out spinning the wheel slowly with his eyes closed, before spinning the wheel harder)
Emma: Alright, what's it gonna be...?
(the wheel lands on "My Life as a Teenage Robot", set to U-Pick’s "ta-da" sound effect)
Emma: And it's My Life as a Teenage Robot!
Davis: Aw man, I wanted SpongeBob! *Davis is handed the CD*
Emma: Davis, we've talked about this, it's not always gonna be SpongeBob.
Davis: *sigh* Yeah, I know. I just hope it's not too hot on my way to the control room.
Emma: I guess we'll see!
*Davis runs out of the studio, with the typical "running to the control room" anthem playing in the background, before cutting to a shot of him running on the beach with the CD*
Davis: *quietly saying "ow" as he runs along the hot sand*
Emma: Goodness, it really is hot out there, huh?
Davis: *runs over to the ocean*
Emma: Wait, what's he doing?
Davis: Ah, that's better... alright, where was I? *heads back onto sand* Ow, ow, ow, ow, ow, ow- ow, ow, hot, ow, ow-
*the footage then cuts to the control room, with Davis heading over to Jeremy, Barbara's summer substitute, to give him the CD*
Jeremy: Hey, what's up? Name's Jeremy!
Davis: Hey there, nice to meet you.
*as Davis heads back to the lounge, Jeremy inserts the disc into the cd slot behind him and gives an OK sign with his hands to the camera*
Emma: Thanks, Jeremy! Alright, while Davis is on his way back, here's My Life as a Teenage Robot!
*loungers cheering*
==========================
Yeah, I'm still upset about not being able to do the SpongeBob @ 7:30 event like I wanted to, but to be fair, it was either negotiate with those crooks, or get zapped and possibly killed.
There will be another post about this show later tonight.
Lineup:
7:00 PM - My Life as a Teenage Robot: Bradventure / Mama Drama (Nick.com Pick)
7:30 PM - Kaput & Zösky (NEW SHOW): The Space Salesman / Mumbo Jumbo / Mom! We're on TV! (NEW)
8:00 PM - Danny Phantom: Reality Trip (BIG SUMMER MOVIES PREMIERE)
9:00 PM - As Told by Ginger: Detention (NEW)
9:30 PM - As Told by Ginger: Kiss Today Goodbye (NEW)
Other Highlights:
Special Guest: They Might Be Giants performing "Experimental Film" on the rooftop of U-Pick Central
Prize Wall Punch: U-Pick t-shirt autographed by me and Emma + shirts for all the loungers (behind #8; won by a boy named Andrew; Bucket O' Bucks ($123.00) was behind #6)
Weekly Challenge: Cow makes sandcastles out of dirt in Times Square (runner-up choices were Davis and Emma)
ChalkZone Jukebox: Ha Ha Ho
Advice from a Nicktoon: Danny Fenton from Danny Phantom
Nick.com Pick (6/16/06)
POV: It's 2006, and your choices for this week's Nick.com Pick are Father's Day episodes of The Wild Thornberrys, Jimmy Neutron, and ChalkZone. Which do you want to see?
The Wild Thornberrys - Time Flies
The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron, Boy Genius - Make Room for Daddy-O
ChalkZone - The Crush / Gift of Good Intentions / Snapshots 2 / Go Pop (Song)
I'm already placing my bets for who's gonna win.

My Fanmade 2004 Screen Caps - Franklin:
Lastly, we wrap up my 2004 (fanmade) screen cap collection with the new episodes of Franklin that aired from August 16, 2004 - September 3, 2004.
With the exception of the second-to-last one, which aired at 1pm on the same day as the next screen cap, all of these were broadcasted at 1:30pm, being the last show before transitioning back to Nickelodeon.
Just like last time, any screen caps in VHS quality came from Emma's VCR.
Also uh... if you haven't noticed, I um... I really like Mr. Owl.
Just a little...
My Fanmade 2004 Screen Caps - Maggie and the Ferocious Beast:
Next up in my 2004 screen cap collection, we have Maggie and the Ferocious Beast.
If you're wondering why the one from August 26, 2004 is in VHS quality, that's because it was recorded via Emma's VCR (I was busy when this airing came up, so Emma recorded it herself for me).
All of these aired at 1pm (excluding the one from September 3, 2004, which aired at 12:30pm).
November 27, 2025 - Balancing Act:
Just a silly little idea of Emma and I as CatDog. Don't worry, I'm sure a situation like this could never happen.
(just so you know, I'm actually going out of order with this one, as the one that actually comes next is based around some ongoing drama that I do not wish to disclose yet)
British bath toys? On Nickelodeon? It's more likely than you think.
My Fanmade 2004 Screen Caps - Rubbadubbers:
Anyway yes, here are all the screen caps for Rubbadubbers I captured during that 3-week period I mentioned yesterday.
I won't be listing the time in the ALT text, as all of these aired in the same time slot (12:30 PM).
My Fanmade 2004 Screen Caps - Oswald:
For my 2004 screen cap collection, we're starting off with the episodes of Oswald I captured.
As stated last time, all of these airings were at 6am, so I don't need to list the time in the ALT text.
See you tomorrow!

My Fanmade 2004 Screen Caps - Introduction:
If you haven't noticed, I've been posting a lot of screen caps from my AU regarding Nickelodeon (mainly for stuff like U-Pick Live and U-Pick Friday Night).
However, let's jump back to 2004.
Specifically, these next few sets of screen caps I'll be posting take place between August 16, 2004 and September 3, 2004.
The only things different in these 3 weeks compared to the original lineups are the Nick Jr. section.
For example, here's the lineup that Nick Jr. had in reality during these 3 weeks:
9:00 AM - Dora the Explorer
9:30 AM - Blue's Clues
10:00 AM - Dora the Explorer
10:30 AM - LazyTown
11:00 AM - LazyTown
11:30 AM - Dora the Explorer
12:00 PM - Blue's Clues
12:30 PM - Little Bill
This was the first big lineup change since the introduction of their summer lineup earlier that May, which only ran for 3 hours (9am - 12pm), and it was also in this lineup that LazyTown aired for the first time.
This specific lineup change did away with shows like Max & Ruby (at least temporarily) and Maggie & the Ferocious Beast, while also bringing Little Bill back into the lineup (after airing at 6am for much of the summer season).
If I had any critiques of this lineup, it would be that for a block running just 4 hours, I think THREE Dora reruns in a day is a bit much.
There were also a few other ideas that crossed my mind, like how the second half of July included a bunch of new episodes of Franklin, following the premiere of the Green Knight special on July 12th.
After some more brainstorming and tweaking, here's how the lineup looks for those three weeks in my AU:
9:00 AM - Dora the Explorer
9:30 AM - Blue's Clues
10:00 AM - Max & Ruby
10:30 AM - LazyTown
11:00 AM - LazyTown
11:30 AM - Dora the Explorer
12:00 PM - Blue's Clues
12:30 PM - Rubbadubbers
1:00 PM - Maggie and the Ferocious Beast
1:30 PM - Franklin (NEW EPISODES)
In this case, Maggie and Franklin are sort of like placeholders, at least until shows like Miss Spider and the Backyardigans premiere.
Originally, I kept Little Bill in the lineup, until I realized that I wanted as little to do with that show as possible (iykyk). As such, I replaced it with Rubbadubbers, as it was more recent of an addition to Nick Jr.'s lineup.
As for Max & Ruby, I've moved it back into the main schedule at 10am, its 6am time slot being replaced with Oswald.
I'll start with the 6am Oswald airings first...
Here are some screen caps from last Friday's U-Pick Friday Night show (June 2, 2006).
