You’re being selfish. you’re being shallow. Why are you so obsessed with genitalia? You’re telling me that all you’re interested in is sex? Have you considered a sexless relationship? You can always try and see how you feel. Just because you didn’t like it once doesn’t mean you will never like it. Let’s talk about why you’re so fixated on genitalia. What if you found you soulmate, but it turns out they’re the opposite sex, you would really just lose interest? Look how you’re hurting all these people - you’re saying you find them repulsive? How do you think that feels?
I’ve heard it all. I’ve been through it all. Modern TRA rhetoric is literally conversion therapy and it’s often actually more overtly hateful and full of vitriol than the standard
I was put through conversion therapy as a teenager. There were no electric shocks involved, no chemicals, no beatings. What did happen was a very friendly, charismatic and manipulative woman sat me down twice a week, asked me simple questions about how I experienced attraction and then shamed me and nitpicked every single answer I gave.
It's a subtle psychological torture, no matter how resilient you are it will slowly get under your skin and stay there. Conversion therapy isn't what was portrayed on AHS you idiot children, it's literally the same things I see on twitter every day.
When TRAs accuse lesbians of having a genital preference and tell us that's unacceptable and that we need to unlearn that, the only useful response is to ask THEM whether THEY would personally have sex with someone with a dick. The answer is obviously no, because they're hypocrites and their only goal is to bully lesbians into having sex with them. No one is telling straight men to unlearn their genital preference -- their only goal is to violate the sexual boundaries of lesbians because they want sex with females and know that straight women won't want them. Neither do lesbians, but since they have an entitlement complex and are also upholding their delusions of being women they expect for us to make dating and sex equal-opportunity and turn our bodies into their free-for-all.

Oh, don't be silly. Abusive men don't think revealing outfits are an invitation to assault women, that would be preposterous! They think your very existence is an invitation to assault you.

And the horrible thing about realising that is not only they're absolutely irredeemable rapists. And one of them hurt you. For me it was also a chilling realisation that no matter what you do, no matter what you say, no matter what you wear, you can never really make yourself safe from rape. You can only mitigate the risk.
This is also the reason why victims so often blame themselves. Not because they believe they are guilty, but because they are looking for any sort of agency in a situation where they were deprived of it
It's a truth that is both painful to internalise, and necessary for you to understand in order to heal. A fucking catch 22 as most things when it comes to sexual assault.
I'd like to add that the notion of rape being about sexual attraction and "overwhelming lust" creates an opening for rapists to try to discredit their victims using the rhetoric that the victim "wasn't attractive enough" to be raped. Sadly in our rape culture bystanders also apply this logic. Yet men will rape any and every given woman or girl, and there is no such thing as being too old/fat/ugly to be raped because rape is an opportunistic crime fueled by the desire to dominate and break the target -- not by lust.
