that damn uchiha set us up
From the sound of it, Tobirama was bitter that they were going to be together for two weeks away from civilization and other people. Clearly, the man had been counting on Itachi to be his buffer…not that Kakashi could talk, because he too had hoped the same thing. “I wouldn’t have the slightest idea why Itachi would do such a thing. Unless this is his idea of a joke, in which case he needs to have a lesson in humor.” He answered, heading towards the kitchen to put groceries away. “I think we can find a way to have fun. I’m going to have fun because I want to, not because that Uchiha told me too.” He joked again. He set his bags and cooler near the fridge, and began unpacking. He turned his head to look back at the Senju, surprised to see the small smile on his face. Huh. So the Senju did have the ability to show emotion! That probably wasn’t the nicest thing to think considering they were going to be forced to spend time together. The smile wasn’t as surprising as the somewhat forced compliment. “Ah…well,” Kakashi was blindsided. “I think we’ll get along just fine.” He smiled. “We’ll finish unpacking, get some drinks, and continue having fun, yeah?”
Tobirama fidgeted where he stood. Unable to sit still in the company of a man he barely knew. But he had time to get to know him. He would at least try to make their time together enjoyable. The white-haired male wasn’t exactly the best conversationalist but he did have a witty personality when drunk...or so he was told. Maybe Kakashi would get to see it and it’d break the ice just a little bit more.
“I think that’s a great idea. Drinks and...what, board games? I doubt there’s cable out here.” he tried at a joke, laughing softly as he pulled out the remaining cans and boxes of food to set away. “Ah, I saw a stereo in my room. We can listen to music?” he offered. Tobirama was opening up despite himself. When usually he’d be the quietest one in the group if he wasn’t addressed. He figured it was just something about being with just one other person. Chances of embarrassing himself drastically cut in half.
