          SOFT  LIPS  PARTED  to  whisper  an  immediate  response,  yet  the  rarity  of  his  request  had  stolen  the  words  from  her  throat.  fear  lingered  within  her  heart,  incited  by  the  unfamiliar  eyes  of  a  man  she  once  knew  and  loved.  how  she  wanted  to  reach  out  to  him,  to  trace  the  curvatures  of  his  jawline  and  relearn  who  uchiha  itachi  was,  but  she  was  scared.  she  was  now  at   his  mercy,  beneath  hands  which  had  more  than  enough  strength  to  take  her  life.  dash  would  never  have  fathomed  a  day  when  itachi  would  become  her  enemy,  but  he  was  lost,  and  she  mourned  her  inability  to  find  him.

14: Your muse at my muse’s deathbed.

          NO. NO, NO no.  anyone  but  marceline.  there  will  be  blame... how  she  knows  there  will  be  blame.  marceline,  the  dealer  of  her  own  guilt  hurt  is  the  last  person  dash  would  have  wanted  to  witness  her  downfall.  and  yet  —  she  is  the  first  one  to  run  to.  breaths  of  desperation  hitch  within  her  bruised  throat,  her  body  reduced  to  a  motionless  wreckage.  to  feel  is  a  burden,  such  a  burden  to  a  vessel  struck  down  so  violently  from  its  path.  dash  could  never  dream  of  marceline  shouldering  that  burden  too,  but  this  time  her  concealment  methods  are  failing.  the  pain  that  wracks  her  limbs  is  translated  to  emotional  distress:  a  meltdown  during  the  last  moments  of  life.

        A  VOICE  WITHIN  her  head  was  screaming,  spilling  everything  she’d  felt  as  the  horror  unfolded  in  front  of  her  eyes  that  day.  her  lips,  sealed  so  tightly  so  as  not  to  let  loose  her  raw  emotion,  revealed  nothing.  he  was  allowed  to  speak  his  dues,  while  dash  listened  in  silent  desperation.    she  had  not  the  will  power  left  to  restrain  the  tears,  and  they  cascaded  down  her  cheeks  almost  without  notice.  as  he  turned  to  leave,  her  lips  parted  against  her  will,  an  anguished  cry  escaping  her  throat  as  a  hasty  step  was  made  towards  the  door.
