Aha well @panpiepid - the pale garden is esssentially two enormous superorganisms - the eyeblossom and the pale moss. They work together symbiotically and parasitise the dark oak trees which turns them pale. The moss and eyblossom roots grow into everything and (along with a bit of miagicy stuff) act essentially as musculature for which to control the Creaking, which can hunt unsuspecting players. The Creaking Heart is just another organ of this huge system.

Well sea pickle is just another name for some pyrosomes, but I'm really not an expert so maybe that makes more sense

Lichen are a symbiosis of a fungus and (generally) green alga, so there should probably be some connection from Fungi to them. Especially since while the algae in lichens (usually Trebouxia) can live on its own without the fungus, the fungi in lichens can only exist as a lichen, so the taxonomy of lichens usually is placed inside fungi. Kelp is also not really related at all to the alga in lichens, so those should be split! :)

plus I did link the glow lichen to fungi, it's just a pretty small line so I'm not surprised you (and others I think) didnt notice it.

Redid some old stuff for Black Beans!! it's a taller crop found in humid regions. you can either bake them, or if you break the crop prematurely you can get Bean Sprouts, which can be a substitute for lettuce in modded recipes.
