You ever see those people on YouTube who spend 88K, 75K, 20K, different large amounts like that randomly for a quick video or a challenge and you just think āI wish they couldāve spent .2K on stocking groceries for me out of thatā? Because I know I do, often.

Excuse me, I know I havenāt posted on here in awhile and I doubt many people will see this, but I am having a bit of a dilemma about creating something and I was hoping for a couple opinions to help me weigh in on what I can do.
For context, there is a game I love to play with multiple characters in it. Itās called Identity V, and they have characters that originate from multiple areas of the world. I will not even begin to give my opinion on certain parts of the lore, itāll take me too long to finish ranting about how heavily I squint at some of their āaesthetic choicesā for the characters, but just understand there is a lot I wish they would alter.
Anyway, I have this chibi I made that represents myself and I was having fun making little versions of this chibi cosplaying as other characters. I am Caucasian, my Chibi is Caucasian to reflect that, and for the most part letting it cosplay as every survivor was not really an issue. But then, we come to two specific characters that make me want to bash my head into a wall. I love playing them and their personality according to the lore really makes me love them. However, Patricia and Ganji are two people my chibi cannot just cosplay.
Why? Because they are both very blatantly a different ethnicity. For me to make my current chibi cosplay them, they would completely white wash both characters and thatās just wrong. I know itās goofy and for fun but it makes me feel uncomfortable. However, I donāt want to leave out their representation completely because again, I love these characters and they deserve equal love.
So what do I do? I just moved here right before covid and several quarantines started up, so I donāt singing have a friend who I could ask to create their own chibi and cosplay it and grant me permission, or I wouldāve gone down that road already. I donāt feel right creating a character myself. I honestly do not feel like it would be okay for me specifically to do that. Could I actually do that myself? Or should I ask around and see if someone I donāt really know would be willing to make one for me? I donāt really know what options I have but I honestly want to include these characters with everyone else. They deserve to be represented after all, theyāre both awesome and so fun to play!
I could be 100% overthinking this and thatās fine if I am, but I would really like some insight on what to do next. If you have any thoughts, comment, reply, message me, pm me, whatever you feel comfortable with! Iāll also be looking around to ask a few questions when Iām feeling brave. Thank you for everyone who takes the time to read this!

Sorta random but if anyone wants to play Cookie Run and havenāt yet, you can use this link to join and get some extra prizes.
āRun, jump, slide, collect, and bake no prisoners! Cookie Run is the endless runner game with deliciously challenging levels, tons of fun, h
Studies show it helps patients with an increasingly long list of medical problems.
And notice the tone the scientists researching this.
āWhat do you mean the fatties live longer? This CANNOT BE RIGHT DO THE STUDIES 15 MORE TIMES!ā
And when they canāt figure it out, they simply say āitās not worth readingā to keep anything POSITIVE about fat bodies from getting out into the public eye.
Because then folks might not but into the billion dollar industry for diet fads and weight loss scams that all of these obesity doctors line their pockets with.
Because then theyd actually have to start treating their fat patients like PEOPLE.
āWillettās complaints are starting to look less credible, however, because no one has been able to make the paradox go away. One of the most popular explanations is that fat people get more aggressive treatment than thin people, because their weight raises red flags at the doctorās office. This seems questionable: studies show that overweight and obese people tend to avoid doctors, get fewer preventive screenings, and receive worse treatment because theyāre often misdiagnosed as āfatā rather than with a specific medical conditionāĀ
Emphasis mine
Also, notice the phrasing.
āNo one has been able to make the paradox go awayā
They wanna get rid of that shit SO BAD. Because if fat people arenāt as OMG OBESITY CRISIS as folks love to scream, that means their fad diet scams and weight loss surgeries canāt make them millions anymore!
Fuck these obesity doctors. They outchea selling snake oil.
āPeople are furiously looking for some way to make this not the case,ā says Deb Burgard, a clinical psychologist in Los Altos, California who treats eating disorders. āAnd I think that bears some comment. Theoretically we should be very happy to find out that people arenāt dying the way we thought they were going to, that thereās not going to be this terrible outcome. That people at higher weights are going to be OK.ā
āOne of the most popular explanations is that fat people get more aggressive treatment than thin people, because their weight raises red flags at the doctorās office.ā
*points and laughs*
Iām sorry, Iām just stuck on this part. Thatās hilarious. An incomplete list of things where the suggested solution was āYou should lose weightā: My badly broken ankle hurting, a severe bacterial sinus infection, panic attacks stemming from Complex PTSD ā¦
Oh, wow this study has a pretty reputable source and a really big sample size.Ā Yāall could actually show this to the haters.

āAn uppity restaurant?ā Blinking at the statement, Lewis tilts his head. Heād never actually considered the fact that someone might find it to be uppity. Itās kind of funny really, and after a moment Lewis snickers before waving his hand āItās certainly a bit different more extensive than a cafĆ©, but I wouldnāt call it uppity. Itās a place you can just go and treat yourself. The idea behind it is to give customers a place where they can go and relax while eating great food. No one is going to bat an eye if you show up in regular clothes.ā That said, Lewis leans back. He then considers his next words, trying to decide the best way to go about this. āMy family would never ask our customers to go out and buy something fancy just to have a single meal. Heck, if you even suggested a dress code my mama would probably give you a frown that could haunt you for days! So, if you want to eat there, you only have to worry about bringing yourself. Heck, if you want once I get this horrid ghost curse down pat Iāll even take you myself. Until then though, I can make you whatever meals you want. Sound good?ā And now he is giving her his best attempt at a grin. It looks a bit weird of course, his hair alight and only the crinkling of his brow giving the illusion of a happy expression But hey, at least he is trying!
āHorrible ghost curse huh?ā She asked gently and shifted a little closer. āHow did you get cursed exactly? I can tell you look different than youāre supposed to, but you look pretty cool.ā
She tilted her head slowly. āBy chance, are you afraid your family wonāt accept how you look? Or do you think youāll hurt them by accident?ā
Iāve never had to worry about that, but I guess it makes sense he does. He did say he has little sisters. Iād had it if I accidentally hurt a little kid.
She hummed a little and gently shifted a hand out to boop his forehead. āDonāt be scared of them accepting you though. Theyāre family, and family forgives a lot.ā

She made a face at him, grumbling unhappily at him as she shifted her stance a little. She stepped forward and went after him again, putting more force into it as she lunged at him. Technically speaking, her stance for fencing and her movement was well practiced.
However, this didnāt translate to a real sword fight. Even if she aimed and moved how she knew to, the sword was heavier and she was slower with it.
She grit her teeth as she missed him again, before she quickly went into another attack. She started gradually easing out of practice, and into more of a fighting rhythm.
Letting out a chuckle, he kept stepping out of his way of her more clumsy swings, however, once she started to pick herself up a little bit, he decided that heād humour her, and actually meet her blade with his own. However, after a few more moments, he sped up his movements, moving the blade from side to side, and making sure to meet hers.
At a few more swings though, he put more pressure behind his swing, enough to throw her off of her balance, and quickly get right up close to her, and point the tip of his blade just at the tip of her throat, with a small grin.
āI do believe thatās game set anā match, Miss Luna.ā
Why was he smiling so much around her? Perhaps he felt⦠Nice, for once, having some company of his own⦠That, and⦠Someone so close to his age as well! Very rare, for sure. Though he lingered for a moment. Just a moment⦠Before pulling away and clearing his throat, sheathing his blade.
ā⦠W-Weāll work on yer swordplay again some time.ā
Lunaās eyes widened, the blue conveying her tremendous surprise, before she looked him in the eyes. She gave him one of the most childish pouts heād ever seen, her cheeks even puffing out a little with it.
āIt may be this time, but I wonāt stop until I win,ā She said with a competitive sound in her voice, and when he pulled back the blade she picked hers back up. ā⦠Weāre already doneā¦? After just one?ā
Now the pout shifted a bit from cute to slightly disappointed. āAw⦠when can we work on it again?ā She paused for a moment, then felt a blush go across her face. āI⦠I uh⦠have to win my freedom after all, right?ā
Seems Luna is a terrible liar.
Chuckling softly, yet keeping his back turned, he shook his head, dropping that little accent of his once again, turning around and brushing some of his hair aside a little to actually give a genuine smile once again.
āYou know⦠If I didnāt know any better, Miss Luna, it almost sounds like you didnāt want me to stop? Almost as if you wanted to continue working on your swordplay? I find it rather strange⦠Donāt you? After all⦠You seemed like you wanted nothing at all to do with this ship, nor I.ā
Crossing his arms, he sighed softly, moving over to her and picking up his blade once again, but rather than challenge her this time, he instead took a stance next to her, grinning.
āIf we are to keep this little game up.. The least I can do for you is actually show you how to wield a sword such as that. So, arm outstretched, back straight, left foot forward, and keep your stance contained, feet just a little bit apart.ā
āN-Now donāt misread... I was opposed to how you got me onto the ship. Which was completely against my will,ā She answered gently. āI never said I wanted nothing to do with it. Youāre putting words in my mouth honestly.ā
She huffed gently and side eyed him. āUnder better circumstances, this wouldāve been a fun experience since Iām not allowed to leave the castle very often...but because I was brought here against my will, Iām not happy.ā
She pouted slightly, before shifting gently to copy his stance, slowly adjusting her stance to match properly. āWhat makes this sword so much heavier than the oneās Iām used to.ā

āSafe havensā¦because the navy from different countries chase youā¦ā She mumbled softly in response and looked among them. āDoā¦pirates have a code of honor? Likeā¦if you both go to an island to escape the Navy, is it forbidden to attack one another?ā
She looked to him and blinked a little. Why was he asking this like she had a choice? Wasnāt she a prisoner on this ship? Wasnāt the point of taking her to make her do things against her will? This pirate was confusing.
Could it be that while he wanted revenge on her dad, he really didnāt mean any harm to her. āIāll admit, I have been curious⦠Iāve never really left the island before.ā
ā.. Aye, we do. We may make bargains with each other, and if thācode be uttered, neither pirate may harm thāotherĀ ātill negotiations are complete anā a deal has been struck.ā
Smiling again, he walked to the corner of his quarters, picking a spare scabbard from the wall, and holding it out towards her, with a grin.
āThen⦠Allow me tāplace a little⦠Challenge on me, Miss Luna. I figure māself rather savvy with a sword⦠Enough so that I would have me men challenge me. None have beaten me, anā so⦠If ye so wish⦠If ye can best me in a dual⦠Then ye may have yer freedom. On me word as a pirate⦠Or may I be sent tāDavy Jonesā locker.ā
It would be intriguing to perhaps gauge how she could handle a sword. If she was going to be sailing with them⦠She should at the very least know how to handle herself.
She gently took the scabbard into her hands, feeling the difference in weight from the fencing swords she had learned to handle before. It was much heavier, and the steel from it was guaranteed to cut deep.
ā⦠My sword fighting isnātā¦really for much more than show, I must admit to thatā¦ā She answered softly and shifted it in her hands. āIf I were to beat you in a sword fight now, your men would laugh at you⦠That Iāll admitā¦ā
She gripped it lightly. āButā¦I suppose I wouldnāt be opposed to fighting anyway⦠Itād be interesting having an opponent who wouldā¦fight me seriously.ā
She looked at it, then looked up at him. āā¦I wonātā¦count it as breaking your promise if I get hurt during the sword fighting⦠Just so you know.ā
Chuckling, he reached over to his longcoat, and drew his own weapon from its scabbard, the cutlass, while a little smaller than most, seemed far more easy to maneuver with. Almost like a rapier in the way it was constructed, though the blade was certainly thicker. At this, he stepped some paces away from her, raising his sword with a grin on his face.
āAnā what if I were to tell ye that I could beat ye without leavinā nary a scratch on ye? How would ye react to that, hmm?ā
Perhaps his bragging, and his pride got the better of him, but his men could attest, he could defeat any one of them without even hurting them. What James wasnāt going to tell her was that heād been practicing with his sword ever since his 14th birthday, requesting his father teach him.
āNow⦠As I said⦠If yer gonna be on this ship, ye need to hold yer own. If ye can lay a strike on me, then Iāll consider this battle lost.ā
He was teasing, definitely, if his tone were anything to go by⦠And yet he looked rather⦠Poised, his stance balanced, even without his second eye, he seemed confident just in the way he held his blade.
This feels extremely uneven⦠Does he really expect anything of me? Or is he just looking for someone to tease?
Gritting her teeth a little, she shifted the sword into her left hand, her hand wrapping around the grip with her thumb on top. She held it out towards him, stepping back into a wider and steadier stance.
āBragging a bit?ā She asked and tilted her head, getting more of a playful tone to her voice. āRemember, itās not exactly impressive if you beat up a little girl⦠So donāt be mean when you do.ā
And with that she stuck her tongue out at him, before she perried towards him, her speed a little slower than she anticipated with the added weight.
He who strikes first, wins! Right?
āItās not braggingā¦.ā
And like that, he stepped to the side, not even using the blade and avoiding her completely, before tapping her shoulder with the tip of the blade. Not slicing, not stabbing. Just tapping her shoulder with it, with the big, dumb grin on his face.
ā⦠If ye have the skill tāback it up. At that point⦠Itās just fact.ā
Tapping his left foot on the floor, he twirled his blade just a touch, almost trying to make her focus solely on the tip of the blade, while he just lightly moved from foot to foot, side to side, keeping his stance close to himself, leaving only the blade itself outstretched.
āNow come on, why donāt ye try again?ā
She made a face at him, grumbling unhappily at him as she shifted her stance a little. She stepped forward and went after him again, putting more force into it as she lunged at him. Technically speaking, her stance for fencing and her movement was well practiced.
