Pixel2017 ā Episode 55 āĀ Simpsons The theme for the day is "Simpsons". For all the many times Bart told people to "eat his shorts", I don't think I've ever really seen it happen.
Pixel2017 ā Episode 54 ā DailyĀ Planet Our attic was a bit easier to get to than those American contraptions you'd see on TV (like the one in the picture below).
Pixel2017 ā Episode 53 ā DailyĀ Planet The theme for the day was "Planet". My friend I'm staying at here in Portugal suggested I portray Pluto, and stir an internet debate, but I already thought of the Daily Planet spinning thing on top of the building Superman works in, so here it is.

Pixel2017 ā Episode 51 ā TortureĀ instruments The theme for the day was "set of instruments". I don't know why, but the first thing that sprung to mind was torture instruments (probably because of the First Law series of books I've been reading). Doing research for it was... sickening. This is one of the more... tame examples.

I've seen a few people animate the Cap throwing his shield, but I've thought it was interesting to see the camera fixed on the shield itself (without spinning the camera along with the shield, that would be puke-inducing). Yesterday I had to catch a flight. Unfortunately Iāve also caught a cold right before it. By the time I got to Portugal, I was sore all over and my nose was stuffier than a turkey on Thanksgiving.

Pixel2017 ā Episode 48 ā JetPackĀ Worms The theme for the day is "Jetpack", so I thought of using the Jetpack to attack other worms in... well, Worms. Of course, Worms being the game that it is, some of your plans will backfire spectacularly. Case in point:
Pixel2017 ā Episode 47 ā ShieldĀ Surfing This scene from the battle of Helm's Deep in Lord of theĀ Rings 2 (which was actually the first Lord of the Rings I saw) was the moment when the character of Legolas changed to me from being "that cool elf dude" into "unadulterated bad ass".

Pixel2017 ā Episode 46 āĀ Mutation They theme for the day was "Mutant", so I went with what makes a mutant - a mutation. I also went very very small, which is thematically appropriate for pixel art, I think. Also used the cell nucleus as eye idea from Spore.

The theme for the day was āTankā ā Making a real military tank would have been an idea, but Iām a gamer ā might as well make what I know as a tank ā the person with a shield who swears at enemies to taunt them into attacking them, not the squishy other members of the team.
Since Diablo is one of my favourite game series, I chose the Crusader as the tank model. There was also a constraint to use 5ā¦

Pixel2017 ā Episode 42 ā JackĀ Sparrow The theme for the day was "pirate" probably due to the upcoming Pirates of the Caribbean movie.
Pixel2017 ā Episode 41 ā BoneĀ Storm! The word for the day was Storm - after I brainstormed (heh) through a few ideas, including depicting someone literally cooking up a storm in a pot, I decided to go for another kind of storm, one that could come up as an euphemism - Baron Marrowgar's Bone Stooooooorm from World of Warcraft. Of course, the real one is much longer (heh), but this will do.
