A blast to model, especially figuring out the shader! I imagined the material to have such condensed darkness to the point where matter would invert and glow in a way that might look like something fiction depics as anti-matter.

I also wanted to remodel the Knight's attack sprite with the eye coming out of their chest since that pose really stood out to me. Overall it ended up looking a lot more Dark Souls-ish than I expected, but I'm quite happy with the result. I ended up fully remodeling the head to emulate the Knight looking warped and bent with the teeth stretching along the maw just like in their canon sprite (you can see it above my sketch). I also tried to warp the legs to like they are melting away, as if losing touch with reality.

And lastly, I wanted to feature a battle scene with the fun gang and additionally rendered it out as a vertically aligned bg in two different sizes in case you wanna use that for phone wallpapers and stuff (see below)! For the battle render, I used some motion blur techniques for the bullets as well as the white shadow behind the Knight to give the whole scene this sort of "phasing" effect.
